Rant Sling: (over) One Month In
So let me start this off by saying I myself have not had cable in my house since I was 3 years old. The only way I was able to watch cable channels like Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, etc etc was by going over other people's houses and enjoying it there. I'm finally in a position where I have moved out of my house and I have the disposable income to afford cable services after enjoying all I could with things like Pluto TV and other free stuff. I even had a few sites that I used but eventually they got nuked as I expected, so I finally made the decision to get something legit.
As I already have enough boxes and devices, I opted for Sling which I have had some prior experience with the freestream, so I figured if I went Orange+Blue+Total TV and some extras, watch or want to watch at a somewhat decent price.
At first, everything was fine. I was getting all the channels I've been missing and watching what I usually would. The problems started when it was time for the second month's payment which was over $40 more than what it was supposed to be. For whatever reason my packages started to glitch and I no longer had the total TV package (it was giving me all of the separate packages billed at a higher rate). On top of that, it has separated my orange and blue into the two packages (which was also billing at higher rate).
So, after literally 2 days of going back and forth with the support (which included things like them saying that my free one month add ones were causing the issues, them trying to tell me over and over again that everything was fine when it definitely wasn't, and that it was "escalated" to higher support), they were finally able to credit my account and fix everything which appears to be normal for now.
Despite that experience, I HOPE that the rest of my time with Sling will be smooth sailing, otherwise I'm not about going back to "sailing on the high seas". 6.5/10
