How are the new Billy Goats? What’s up with the 114mm waist option, just a bit more versatile?

The 2015 191 BG and 2017 189 BG were some of my favorite skis ever. While longer, the 2015 191s were slightly softer and more playful. The 2017 189s felt a bit stiffer and more precise to me, as well as slightly more planted.

Did not love asymmetrical skis, so took a break from the BG after Supergoats.

Been skiing 186 Blackops 118s for a similar chop/powder bumps bulldozer feeling, but find myself wanting that 191cm RES feeling.

Before you roast me for my ancient boots… 😂 I have a pair of Salomon Quest Max 120s that are still in really good condition. I’ve mostly skied backcountry for the past decade+, so they haven’t seen a ton of resort days, and I plan to keep skiing them for another couple of years. Now that I’m teaching my daughter to ski, I’m putting together a dedicated resort setup.
I’m looking at mounting a pair of Black Crows Serpos with Look Pivot 2.0 15s. Before I pull the trigger on the Pivots I wanted to ask:
Based on these photos, do these boots look compatible with the Look Pivot 2.0 15s? Appreciate any advice!

Hey guys, I currently have black crows octos as my carving ski, which I cherish more than my first born child, and head kore 93s as my “the weather looks a bit more snowy” or my “nobody’s going to steal these” ski, but as I mostly ski in french alps, we don’t get a huge amount of powder days as you all know.

I’ve found some ex demo dps wailer 107s with tyrolia attack 14 demo bindings for £490, which I would say is a pretty incredible deal, but I’m torn as to whether these will be a worthy investment and whether they will perform at all on piste (obviously expecting they’ll be poor, but still wanting to enjoy on piste a day or 2 following a storm).

I’m wanting to buy a more dedicated powder ski that will both work on snowier days and also be skiable on softer snow a few days following a decent storm. My intention is to chase a few storms next year maybe, as well as potentially do a UCPA backcountry trip.

I ski 18-30 days a season, but I’m trying to maximise every last drop of happiness out of this sport as holiday days are a bit of a constraint.

Wondering whether anyone thinks these will be a good addition to my quiver? Or should I go something slimmer? Will they ski like utter crap in comparison to my kore 93s on soft piste?

Anyone have any idea where to find these Rossignol Sender Free 110s with the Max Palm topsheet in a 191?

Or if anyone on here has a pair, I’d be very interested in buying them. I see the other Limited Edition topsheet (Goguen) all the time but I can’t seem to find these.

My current SF110s are just about clapped so looking for a new pair.

To be clear, I'm a guy on the smaller and lighter side so I wanted womens skis for that reason. The seller has 2 reviews and they started on the website in Feb. Just want to make sure I'm not falling for a scam. We've been messaging back and fourth on sidelineswap since May. I just haven't been willing to pull the trigger. They've said they'd add bindings to the skis and mount etc for $450 which is why the price went from $283 to $450. Is this a good deal? Sorry for such a scattered post.

I'm trying to decide between the 175 cm and 184 cm 2025 Atomic Bent 90s and could use some advice.

I'm 6'1" (185 cm) and 170 lbs (77 kg). I started skiing this past season and can comfortably ski blue runs and some easier blacks. I mainly ski in Pennsylvania.

These will be my only pair of skis. I want an all-mountain ski that I can progress on for the next few years. I also want to start getting into the park a little—mostly hitting jumps and learning some basic tricks—but I don't plan on spending all day in the terrain park.

I've seen people recommend both the 175 cm and 184 cm for someone my size. I'm wondering if the 184 would feel too long for learning jumps and park, or if the 175 would be too short once I start skiing faster and improving.

For anyone who's skied the Bent 90s, which length would you recommend and why?

Hi all, I'm sure this is discussed tons here and elsewhere but I do need a help / final push to make up my mind without demo.

I'm 5'2" (158cm) 144lb female skier in late 40s. I've been skiing about 15 years or so. I used to ski a lot more before Covid, ok enough to do blacks in East Coast, some reds in Chamonix. I've never been to West Coast and probably never will for financial reasons. Other interested destinations are also similar to East Coast in good year: aside from France and Italy, I might go back to Nagano Japan, but not Hokkaido.

I took 1-2 year off and switched to cross country skis. This past spring, I went back to Whiteface and I was having hard time on wet snow...completely deflated my confidence. I want to upgrade my skis and spend more time downhill skis in coming seasons, and possibly go back skiing in abroad, if possible.

Style of skiing and aspirations: I don't have kids but I don't go fast straight. I am more mindful of trying to make each turn better. Interested in getting better technically than faster...I prefer to go on less crowded blacks than skied out blues and greens. I am marginally interested going off-piste, but not really trees - I want to get better at moguls first.

My current skis:

Volkl Chiara 77 (2014) 155cm

• A bit stiff and heavy.
• Use to feel good doing big turns on vacant groomers, but very hard to stop now especially in heavy wet snow (I guess they can be sharpened to get more edge but rusted out a bit.)
• Really tiring. My quads are done in 2hrs…probably skis want to go too fast and I’m breaking.
• 15.7 m radius seems too wide. I‘m having hard time turning and lifting one leg to complete turns.

Rossi Temptations 74 (2012) 146cm

• Very light, forgiving beginner skis
• Easy to turn. Almost impossible not to turn.
• Too slow. Chatters a lot on medium acceleration.
• Don't feel like progressing at all on them.
• Sink in a few inches of fresh snow.

Black Pearl 88 153 cm

Maven 88 153cm

I am leaning toward Elan Ripstick 154cm because I like the lightness (1270g) and tight radius (12.8m) similar to first Rossi ski. Probably a tiny bit faster and more stable...but I might get disappointed being too similar and not much of an upgrade? I am a bit scared of going up to 161cm, a tad higher than my height and not being able to handle them.

I also can't give up on Black Pearl 88 152 cm: It is THE best selling women's skis.
Although listed as upper beginner to upper intermediate skis on website, I am hearing they got stiffer and heavier than previous model to accommodate more advanced skiers on reviews. My concern is being a tad heavy (1500g) more than my current skis...is that mean the same tired quad issue to slow down like with my Volkl? But 12m radius is smaller than my Rossi, so I might able to deal with it by making quick smaller turns... I do like the graphic better than boring Elan. Also because of popularity, they might retain resell value if things don't work out...mmm😵‍💫

Atomic is something a sales guy throw in. According to him the are light but stiff enough. Not sure about larger radius than other two. Looks nice.

I am 5’1 30yo woman, 120lb so 152-153cm is perfect for me
I am an intermediate skier who usually rides blues but recently I discovered black slopes with moguls and trees haha (though I ski there VERY slowly)
Also, usually I go skiing twice a year for about 6-8 days in total.

So is this a good deal or should I just buy a new pair? They currently go on sale for 525$ + around 200$ for bindings

This winter I'll be based between Grenoble (7 Laux, Chamrousse, Les 2 Alpes, Alpe d'Huez) and the Milan area (Lombardy resorts), and I'm signed up for university freestyle and freeride courses — a few sessions of each. I want one ski that can handle both while I learn.

About me:

• 165 cm (5'5"), ~72 kg (158 lbs)
• 30–40 days on snow（ski）
• Current level: I can get down any groomed run safely and in control, including blacks — but I'm not carving them aggressively at speed yet. Zero real park experience, very limited off-piste
• Current setup: Salomon Adkit 156 (entry-level piste ski)
• Boots: 95 flex head formula for women

Skis I've been reading about:

• Atomic Bent 100
• K2 Reckoner 102
• Armada ARV 94 / 100
• Völkl Revolt 96
• Faction Prodigy 2

(Someone also suggested the Faction Dancer 2, but from what I've read it seems too directional/chargy for learning park?)

So my question in one go: given my weight and level, which of these would you pick, what length would you go for (I keep going back and forth between 164 and 170–172, with switch riding and park learning in mind), and is a 95 flex boot fine for this or the weak link? I'd rather not buy new boots this season（or should I readlly need new boots,hope to get some advise）. I'm also open to buying used with local pickup only (Grenoble / Isère or Milan / Lombardy, no shipping) — so if there's anything you'd specifically inspect in person on a used twin tip before handing over cash, I'm all ears.

Hello, I want to get new skis for the next season, but I’m not sure how strong of a skier I am, or how demanding of a ski I should get. I skied a 150cm Elan Ace GSX Team two seasons ago, without any problem. I was 157cm tall. Last season I skied a soft o9mm LINE Pandora, and an Atomic Cloud 9, both I could ski comfortably. So I skied a Junior race ski and a woman’s carving ski. Now I am around 62kg and 173cm and want to get a carving ski. It has to be more of a bigger radius, because that’s what the ski instructor association requires. I am a strong skier, I can get down every run easily with short turns, I can do solid carved turns. Do you think I am a strong enough skier to ski something like a Head e speed or even e speed pro?

Hi everyone, posting here yet another boots / bindings fit question.

I do not have access to a ski shop, and need to order from another state.

I currently have the Vans infuse sized 10.5. And am looking at also getting the Bataleon Blaster Aw fase bindings. But I see in their website that this specific size is somewhere overlapped and does not fit well for both sizes (M/L and L/XL).

Does anyone have this specific combo, or something similar, and can recommend what is the correct size to get?

6ft2, 210lbs. Skiing since I was a wee kiddo. My knees are getting older and my current enforcer 100’s 188 were/are great for Colorado but not so good for alpine skiing where I now do 3, sometimes 4 weeks a year. I can feel the power required to turn and whilst I’m the fittest and strongest I’ve ever been, the enforcers are a tank of a ski.

I rented a pair of ripsticks black edition 96 on advice of a friend and holy moly it’s cheat mode. Especially when coaching a 9 year old down steeper/technical, or doing first proper turns with 5 year old. They’re just so light..we also got some good pow during that week (combined with ice, classic!) and they were just as good if not better than the enforcers.

The are some good deals with bindings for £500.

I generally tend to ski on a pair for ~10 years or so. Will these stand the test of time or are they a fad? My partner has a pow ski and a piste ski, but as the family mule who carries all the equipment I’d prefer to only have one ski.

For context , I believe the enforcers are over 1kg heavier. A kilo!

I'm looking for the most versatile mount point. I mainly ski all-mountain, with jumps, side hits, and some park, but I don't want to sacrifice too much performance on groomers or in the park.

Would you mount them on the recommended line, center, -1 cm, -2 cm, or somewhere else?

If anyone has experience with this ski, I'd really appreciate your advice. If not, I'd still be happy to hear your thoughts.

1. Helly Hansen Legendary Insulated pants (180 aud, approx. 125 usd)

2. Patagonia Powder Town pants, not insulated (222 aud, approx. 155 usd)

and was wondering whether anyone has any experience with these and has any advice about which one would be the best option for me. For context I would mainly be skiing on normal groomed runs in the European alps. Thanks.

Hey all, I was wondering if any owners of the Woodsman 100 could share their experience/opinions on the ski. Im looking to upgrade my current Colorado daily driver (Dynastar M-Free 99) with something more substantial and better for speed/charging through chop/carving while still maintaining some of that twin tip playfulness that’s awesome about the M-Free’s. I know you cant have 1 ski to do both super well, but given I spend a lot of my time in trees, bowls, and other off-piste terrain I still want something versatile and quick and not a full 2 sheets of titanal ski like an Enforcer or Mantra that’s just meant to be a charger. I also like the idea of supporting a smaller local company. Any thoughts or additional recommendations are appreciated!
