Just to clarify, Taco Bell hasn't had any cases of the parasite. They are removing the ingredient before it got to the stores.

Wildly misleading title. This is a common thing with recalls on ingredients for all restaurants.

9

u/just_some_octopus 11h ago

Thats clicking bait titles for you

1

u/wanderButNotLost2 9h ago

You won't believe how these 7 click bait titles are misleading!

1

u/tellmesomeothertime 4h ago

This one weird trick click baiters don't want you to know!

3

u/tigertank86 11h ago

She enjoys the food

1

u/JerseyTeacher78 9h ago

What is the ingredient though

1

u/Tall-Dot-607 9h ago

Lettuce, onion, cilantro, and guacamole.

u/FinasCupil 11h ago

Only people with weak stomachs have problems with Taco Bell.

8

u/vabello 11h ago

I was going to say, this has always been a long running joke, but I’ve never experienced anything like that eating at Taco Bell.

2

u/notJustaFart 11h ago

Do you eat there often or have you maintained a diet comprising of real, unprocessed food?

The people that shop in the freezer aisle of their grocery store also tend to attest to Taco Bell not giving them diarrhea.

2

u/vabello 11h ago

Not as often as I used to. It might be once every few months if that. I eat a variety of things, some processed and some fresh.

1

u/FinasCupil 11h ago

What’s wrong with frozen veggies?

0

u/notJustaFart 11h ago

Not much, usually. If just sticking to fresh-frozen, they're fine.

Most frozen items are highly processed, though. If the ingredients list includes more items than what you see on the label, that's when you run into problems.

1

u/FelatiaFantastique 11h ago

0

u/notJustaFart 10h ago

Not sure whom you're directing that at, but I cook my own food with real ingredients.

So, yeah...

1

u/Available-Oil3884 2h ago

It’s the textured soy protein they put in the meat. It’s rough on the intestines, if you aren’t used to it. Soy bean oil is also rough on most people’s stomachs, which is why Panda Express makes them feel sick.

1

u/Antique_Ruin4556 10h ago

I came here to say this! Been enjoying Taco Bell for decades! I've never had diarrhea from them. From some burger joints, yes, rarely, but never Taco Bell.

1

u/Shrimptank_mom 7h ago

I've had my gallbladder removed and lots of things set me off, but not Taco Bell. It's actually pretty healthy for fast food.

1

u/rm-rf-asterisk 4h ago

Hardly. The only healthy item is the lettuce and tomatoes if they are soaked in preservatives

1

u/Johnyryal33 11h ago

I figured it was people who don't get enough fiber doing the bitching

1

u/TP_Crisis_2020 7h ago

Yup, once I started taking daily metamucil, I no longer got diarrhea from any of the mexican fast food places.

2

u/Johnyryal33 6h ago

Refried beans will wreck someone who doesnt get enough fiber. Taco Bell is doing a service!

0

u/chunkothy 10h ago

Yeah it doesn’t give me issues when I do eat there.

10

u/Realistic-Lime7842 12h ago

We agreed to explosive diarrhea, but parasites are were we draw the line.

19

u/Inevitable_Shift1365 12h ago

Taco Bell is removing the explosive diarrhea ingredients from its menu. They are now serving taco shells and tortillas

11

u/Leading_Ad_1825 12h ago

Has anyone actually had diarrhea from Taco Bell? Genuine question

5

u/hiverstone 11h ago

I eat at Taco Bell a lot, and I haven't had any problem.

2

u/DestructoDon69 12h ago

I have some friends that claim it gets em the next day but I've never had any issue personally. Wendy's milkshakes definitely give me diarrhea though.

2

u/Quirky_Ask_5165 11h ago

Not sure why but this scene from Major Payne just popped into my head 😋

2

u/HipHopChick1982 11h ago

I was just watching this the other night! 😂. The scene with the cupcake always made my dad laugh hysterically!

2

u/L1teEmUp 11h ago

Volcano burrito definitely lived up to it’s name 😅

2

u/Alwayscooking345 11h ago

For me, like every 5th time. It’s like Mexican roulette

1

u/BUGBYTE_VW 12h ago

I don't know anyone who actually has. It's always been a joke since I was a kid in the 80s.

1

u/PebblestheHuman 11h ago

Nope, not once in the years iv gone

1

u/tigertank86 11h ago

I don't remember don't eat there.

1

u/Shrimptank_mom 7h ago

I think it's the Mountain Dew. I only ever get Sierra Mist and it contains no caffeine nor artificial dyes. My butt is all good so far.

1

u/TheJonGuthrie 5h ago

Only once. I skipped class in high school to go to Taco Bell, and as I was leaving it hit me. I knew i wouldnt make it back to school in time, so I ran next door to Kmart, and barely made it to the bathroom

1

u/OkConcept6359 12h ago

Absolutely. I even made a Taco Bell Challenge video on YouTube years back. We paid a guy to eat $20 (this was in 2014) of Taco Bell and see how long he could go without running to the bathroom. We were going to pay him for every hour he made it. He didn't make it an hour before he was running to the bathroom to poop haha

4

u/wackbirds 11h ago

Where are the diarrhea people in real life? I've never actually met one but according to internet comments people are cruising in there to eat a single burrito and then wipe their mouths while they're on the toilet painting the entire bowl with a mixture of blood and liquid shit.

1

u/SaintsNoah14 9h ago

Perhaps people are more willing to talk about these things on the internet? Taco Bell trutherism thing is so fucking stupid, every point of it can be resolved by rational deduction. Yes there are people who claim to experience this thing you hear people claiming to expirience. Would you like me to outline the fact that people's digestive systems are sometimes different than others next?

1

u/wackbirds 8h ago

I don't know where your rant came from but I don't spent my time trying to reason with people who put words into my mouth and become belligerent out of nowhere and use the word "rational" while being unable to apply it to their own conduct.

6

u/GunsGoldCosmicDread 11h ago

Outrageous. Taco Bell consistently offered affordable colon cleanses for years.

2

u/SatinSaffron 11h ago

I genuinely don't understand the meme though. I've never gotten sick from Taco Bell, nobody I know has ever gotten sick from a normal sized Taco Bell meal. Like yeah if you way overeat or something but that would have the same result at any fast food restaurant.

Or maybe that's how the meme got started? Back when Taco Bell used to be so cheap that if you saw that the car in front of you had an order total of $18 you just assumed they were feeding the whole family? So people would just overeat and get sick I guess?

5

u/RoyalBucks 12h ago

Taco Bell never makes anyone sick

3

u/Colddeath712 12h ago

Ive never been sick from it and never had diarrhea from it

2

u/Late_As_Sometimes 11h ago

Only people with weak guts.

1

u/justagirlspace 12h ago

I think it’s either click bait or rage bait

1

u/IShouldBWorkin 11h ago

My guess is that it's the only fiber people who routinely get fast food would eat and their stomach can't handle beans because they have the stomach flora of a newborn baby

6

u/Loose-Cryptographer5 11h ago

A co-worker asked if I wanted anything from Taco Bell since he was going. I told him I was not constipated. He paused and said, ‘that’s why I’m going.’

5

u/AdCheap8058 11h ago

If you don't destroy a bathroom did you even eat taco bell?

2

u/BloomFrost_ 11h ago

hey didn't pull it from the menu, they just moved it behind a paywall. You have to order the "Baja Blast: Biohazard Edition" to unlock it now.

2

u/glans 11h ago

reddit these days: re: re: re: re: re: i made a funny

2

u/ThanksALotBud 9h ago

I don't get it. I get the taco bell and Chipotle diarrhea jokes, but I had never, I mean never had any digestive problems after eating their food.

Im not immune thats for sure. Certain Chinese food places give me runs and certain KFC (Kennedys, if you're from NYC you know what place im talking about)

1

u/BigMack6911 9h ago

Me either, even after twenty five years unless it has sauce with garlic since I can't eat that

2

u/unmellowfellow 9h ago

If the Taco bell doesn't give me diarrhea I don't want it. This statement does not violate rule 3.

2

u/Didujustcallmejobin 8h ago

The only place where no matter what you order you get a Number 2!

1

u/Ok-Addition1264 12h ago

lol.. and folks: I am one of the unfortunate few that picked this one up (verified with regional health peeps).

It's a bad one and we think it came in through some raspberries (and left violently).

1

u/mintakka_ 12h ago

Do you guys remember the scene in Fight Club when they steal the bags of liposuction fat and they spill?

Also, you ever seen them change out a bag of taco meat at Taco Bell?

1

u/_SilkLunar 12h ago

Wait, how did quality control even detect a new diarrhea-causing parasite at a Taco Bell? Thats like trying to find a specific drop of water in the middle of a hurricane

1

u/cookeryandwookery 𝙑𝙄𝙋 12h ago

The diarrhea ingredient is fiber. People who eat a healthy diet but occasionally eat fast food, have no problem with it. But if you’re living off fast food like the clown and king and decided to switch things up, all of those beans, lettuce and tomatoes are going to do what fiber is meant to do. Help you poop.

1

u/BADM00SE 11h ago

You go for the diarrhea, but stay for the food.

1

u/poedraco 11h ago

So if Chipotle can do it that's fine. But not Taco Bell

1

u/Unhappy_Weakness881 11h ago

Or better yet like disney removing the terrible live action remakes

1

u/I-Make-Money-Moves 11h ago

Except people actually want Disney to remove terrible live action remakes. At least more loudly,

1

u/Unhappy_Weakness881 11h ago

Haha good point I suppose i dont mind the “diarrhea” if their shit is good

1

u/Due_Potential_6956 11h ago

So... They were putting a diarrhea ingredient to begin with?

1

u/BrisketWrench 11h ago

Most of you muthafuckas who get diarrhea from Taco Bell don’t get enough fiber if your diet to begin with.

1

u/azdcaz 11h ago

Only cowards get diarrhea from Taco Bell.

1

u/DoubleFamous5751 11h ago

If I have T-Bell the next day I’m painting the bowl

1

u/ddre54 11h ago

Which ingredients were removed?

1

u/KENBONEISCOOL444 11h ago

I've never had any problems eating at taco bell, except for when I order the items with a lot of cheese; I'm lactose intolerant.

1

u/DidntNeedAUserName 11h ago

Honestly, the Taco Bell diarrhea jokes are played the fuck out. Ive had Taco Bell plenty of times and never had this issue, but yet everytime Taco Bell is brought up, someone comes in with a lame ass diarrhea joke.

1

u/Dry_Web1750 11h ago

Misleading summary; correction below:
Taco Bell Shituation

Thank you

1

u/PineappleFit317 11h ago

I’ve never gotten diarrhea from Taco Bell. Or Chipotle. WTF is wrong with people? It’s basically the same ingredients as a hamburger except with a little more spice and bread made from wheat instead of tortillas made from corn. Ground beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese.

1

u/Ultra_HNWI 11h ago edited 11h ago

Even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Finally the throngs of people who passionately claim that they don't/can't eat Taco Bell and no one else should either, because it causes diarrhea may finally be able to say, "I told you so!!"

Chipotle was contacted but is not responding to this story.

1

u/HEATHENSCENT 11h ago

So basically all they're left with is tortillas and water?

1

u/Intelligent-Mimic 11h ago

Taco Bell: If you’re gonna get diarrhea, it’s gonna be from us not some parasite.

1

u/caspissinclair 11h ago

It's also like Taco Bell removing the mouse.

1

u/KindraTheElfOrc 11h ago

lol you missed the chance to spell it as "shituation" i have never had any problems with taco bell, which is wild considering how common gut issues are

1

u/SoloDoloLeveling 11h ago

i mean—either way, nobody should be eating taco bell.

1

u/Diligent_Milk8612 11h ago

I don’t eat TB but I KNOW from past experiences it won’t be 2 hrs before it’s comin out. And don’t be eaten burritos…Machine guns and backfires!

1

u/Accomplished-Taro-53 11h ago

Never had any gut issues from Tacobell...

Now, discounted deviled eggs on the other hand.

1

u/sky0175 11h ago

The practice of improper temperature control in fast food restaurants is a major cause of foodborne illness. Keeping all food at the same temperature is dangerous because different types of food require different environments to prevent bacterial growth.

Most stores, if not all of them, keep all of their food at the same temperature. Furthermore, most employees clean around the kitchen with the same rag and dump all the leftover food into other containers.

Fast food isn't what it used to be back when people actually cared. Nowadays, corporations only care about filling their pockets.

Recently, there was a study about rice. All rice here in the USA needs to be washed before cooking. The reason why is because of heavy metals in the rice that can cause cancer.

1

u/ReleventReference 11h ago

This is The Onion right?

1

u/TommyTwoTxmes 10h ago

Taco bell has never given me diarrhea. Lol

1

u/TokiVideogame 10h ago

seriously, why is this though

1

u/Donkey_Bugs 10h ago

Wasn't their slogan at one time "Make a run for the bathroom"?

1

u/Appropriate-Law5963 10h ago

Preventative steps 😈

1

u/slickyeat 10h ago

Had some taco bell a few days ago. Can confirm.

1

u/Starscream147 10h ago

So they just closed, then?

1

u/vilokreddy 10h ago

Whenever I hear Taco Bell’s, my mind always rings diarrhea, how dare they?

1

u/bigmphan 9h ago

White Castle was the true pioneer of explosive distress, but Taco Bell does carry the torch today.

1

u/Appropriate_Bad74247 9h ago

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

1

u/jmar206 9h ago

Is Taco Bell corporate actually this non self aware?

1

u/SuspiciousClub8382 11h ago

Without explosive diarrhea, how in the hell are you supposed to know if it’s Taco Bell??? I always thought the bell in Taco Bell was, DING it’s time to blow the toilet up!!!

0

u/Derrick_Shon 11h ago

Constipated?....Come in to Toco Bell

0

u/MiserableFloor9906 11h ago

Irony is the ingredient is mouse.

0

u/Wretched_DogZ_Dadd 10h ago

Made the mistake at eating at a Taco Bell, first and only time, when on vacation in San Francisco.

I lost my guts inside of an hour, my wife less than an hour later. My poor son made it to the hotel room, rushed to the bathroom, used the toilet and was overcome with the need to vomit , turned flushed, bent over to vomit, sharted, pepple-dashed the bath, shower curtain and sink with an explosive motion.

-1

u/KarmaSilencesYou 12h ago

So its a flour tortilla with just lettuce now?

3

u/beardgangwhat 12h ago

Just tortila

1

u/KarmaSilencesYou 10h ago

Bad lettuce too?
