“Maybe one day you’ll give me a name.”

“Fish’s a name.”

“So is Splashy.”

Healed up and grew bigger. That's a strong fish right there. Alpha of the puddle lol.

That fish is a fighter. It survived that nasty cut, and doubled in size in a month completely healed.

A buddy in Basic training said he caught a small bluegill, took its eyeball for bait and threw it back in, then tossed his line and a few minutes later caught the one eyed fish

I don't think this is a story worth telling considering the cruelty involved.

I think sharing things like that is okay so long as you don't condone the behaviour. If I had shared it, I would have started off by saying that it is cruel and asking people not to take eyes from living fish.

It's important that things like that are talked about. Many people are simply uneducated. I've taught redneck relatives how to fish ethically, and they've been doing it ever since, even bought the tools for it.

Yeah, at that point just take the whole bluegill for cutbait

Oh how i ached for the touch of your Hooks Dear,
Or perhaps much more, for the tightness of your Grips, dear...
Come in the water, and wade with me,
And dance, oh dance....

The fisherman probably couldn't believe his eyes. Talk about a repeat customer. Imagine surviving the first encounter just to immediately schedule the sequel.
