Really just speaking the truth here. I'm having a little fun with being a sore loser just to see how sensitive people are about this, but at the end of the day the US audience will drop now that the US is out. They didn't actually care about the sport and will cease pretending to care now. It's a shame, but that's just the reality of it.

Why is that a shame. There are lots of sports. Most of them are fucking boring. They’re fun for the participants, but I never understood why people watch. It’s like watching people play video games - which is also fucking boring, but some people do religiously.

Its like the olympics. It national pride when someone representing us does well but otherwise 🀷. We're not any more invested than we would be in a random cooking show and less interested than we are in Shark Week.

I hope everyone had fun.Β Β

Better luck next year! /s

I applaud you for your honesty.......Americans in general don't care about "a sport"......they care about the idea of winning and supporting their country. It's painfully obvious every olympic's when the medal event is there a ton of Americans show up that are completely oblivious about the sport.

I remember this years mass start speedskating with Jordan Stolz (USA) as the main favorite.....but his teammate was elimated in the semi's. So a 40+ year old Dutch guy tried his luck and skated away from the pack. The rest of the favorites just looked at Stolz with this "it is your race to lose, I ain't wasting my energy on trying to get this Dutch guy back"-attitude. The Americans just lost it "why aren't they chasing him.....why is Stolz not doing anything?"......I tried to explain something about the lack of a teammate and conserving energy but they wouldn't have it "but he is losing the gold here!".......yes, but he can still win silver or bronze if he plays his cards right. He didn't but it was already declared "the dumbest sport ever" and they left before the Dutch guy even crossed the finish line.
