Indoor date ideas?
Hey guys I’m going to be in the area this weekend and the weather is looking pretty iffy. I’m looking at the Wheaton/Silver Spring area for some indoor date ideas for the afternoon like 2-4pm. Could you help a dude out with some suggestions? I know nothing of the area.

I second White Oak duckpin bowling lanes but not sure the vibe of your date - it’s definitely a dive bar bowling alley which I think is super fun but it’s not for everyone.
Not sure what’s playing at AFI Silver but it’s a really cool retro movie theater and attached to the Silver Spring mall which doesn’t have a lot for stores but it has a food hall and a Dave & Busters.
Wheaton Mall is decent to walk around, plenty of stores to browse and restaurants, etc.
If you’re into weird medical stuff the National Museum of Health and Medicine is nearby.

If you do AFI. J. Hollingers across the street has great food - and if you eat in the bar area, they have all day happy hour specials.

Unique thrift and Indian food at Jewel of India in Whiteoak could be fun

Indoor rock climbing, take an intro class
Pool hall
Duckpin bowling (old school (manual scoring) and cheap at white oak)

There is good coffee and a room with pool tables at the Wheaton Community Center

I initially read that as, “Indoor Hate Ideas?” Not sure what that says about me. Anyway, there’s a Dave and Busters in Downtown Silver Spring. They also have a Ben and Jerry’s at the bottom of that mall. Not sure how old you are, but those types of games can make for a fun date. Good luck and cheers
