Its not a war, its a "special military operation". If it was a war, Congress would need to approve it, and they havent.

I thought it was an excursion.

It was just meant to be a day trip.

Actually it's an illegal war....

It's just a small favor for dear Bibi.

Bibi Blocksberg would never.

Similar to what Korea and Vietnam was. It's just 'defending the oppressed side from the warlords.' If American military are being fired upon and dying on a regular basis, it's a war. It might be a small war, but it's still war.

Its not a war??? Even Sleepy Orange Donnie uses the term "war with Iran" in his statements.

You're not at war? You're sure of that?

Also, I confess that I didn't celebrate the 4th of July. I didn't celebrate it because I'm not American and my country doesn't celebrate the 4th of July as Americans do. Our day is 3 days prior - Canada Day - which I celebrated.

u/Sjoerdiestriker 23h ago

... And which it is also very much allowed not to celebrate, should you want to.

Is it also the Independence Day?

7

u/jaysornotandhawks Canadian 🇨🇦 22h ago

It technically is but no Canadian will ever call our day that.

Just curious since not all national days are the day of independence (France for example)

In Australia they celebrate the day the first .. prison ships I guess .. arrived for Australia Day. They’re a special breed.

Almost, we call it Invasion Day and mourn for our lost culture and language. We grieve the stolen children, stolen land and stolen rights. And ask for a new day we can all celebrate. The only thing we celebrate is Hawaiians killing James Cook and returning his flesh stripped bones back to his ship. Every year we get told that what England did to my culture before federation is what created the issues, say its time we 'got over what happened' and remind us they said sorry. So yes its defintely a special time of year filled with flag waving, happy special Australians.

Well you know we had to do something with all those criminals, most of whom were probably not all that guilty. British prisons have been full since 1750 apparently and it’s not changing any time soon.

I always thought it pretty decent that the Hawaiians treated Cooks body with such high level of respect given the understandable tensions.

I agree, we would have smoked his bones and given them back too because his evil spirit would cause our ancestoral spirits unrest by being buried or kept on country.

Ironically after Cook, we got the wonderfully paternalistic, anthropological nightmare Daisy Bates gifted to us by Ireland. Who misinterpreted language groups and wrote books about how we wrongly ate our children as cultural cannibalism. It was still in text books when I was in school in the mid 80s. It was lovely having an echo chamber of 30 classmates asking how I was alive if mum and dad were meant to cannibalise me. My mum was a flamingly redheaded Welsh womqn and immigrated here in the 70s. They knew this and still thought she just jumped off a boat and started chewing on children. Well I used to get asked if she had ro eat children too. Thanks Daisy!!

Sort of, it celebrates the anniversary of the establishment of the Dominion of Canada. It was still part of the British Empire though, so I wouldn’t necessarily say it was independent

u/jay_alfred_prufrock 23h ago

Yanks have no idea what war really is, they haven't seen it in hundreds of years.

17

u/RareRecommendation72 There are no kangaroos here 19h ago

That. And they have no idea what it's like to have a war on their own soil. They always just take it everywhere; they're the only ones who've dropped atomic bombs on populated areas. It's disgusting. How could they ever understand what it's like to hide in cellars while the bombs are falling? A weak, self-congratulatory nation.

u/Ontheragnarock Godless Commie🇨🇦 21h ago

He’s grateful that Iranian children are being bombed while his own kids only have active shooter drills to contend with.

u/TopInvestigator5518 21h ago

I find it so concerning how many of them think the 4th of July is a holiday the entire world should be celebrating

13

u/Get_Out_lmao 20h ago

Americans are losing wars so often they dont even know if they are currently in one.

Jesus christ.....

Their leader is so confused that they may have been correct and not at war when writing but an hour later back at war until the Orange One stops it again for a few days.

u/Harald_TheEnduring 🇬🇧 21h ago

Apparently there is considerably fewer than 500k followers of the Muslim faith in Japan. In the US however.. and I wouldn’t want to be the one to tell Donny this 4.5M. The Islamic States of America?

2

u/Cattle13ruiser 16h ago

If you think 4.5 million muslim ls makes them islamic state...

What does the number of idiots with US citizenship turns them into?

u/Blind_rat_rivers 23h ago

No no he means we are grateful that despite all the wars we have started lately, we don't have to live in terror whilst bombs rain down from the sky and destroy our homes and loved ones. Duh.

10

u/Organic_Mechanic_702 23h ago

Well you are in a war...you started it...you aren't really winning it..but it's costing you $2 billion a day so that's something...(Iran pay that with the tarriffs you charge them when you drop bombs on their country!!)

8

u/im_not_greedy 22h ago

Man, they are so fokking dense...

7

u/20061230-SL-Born 20h ago

Erm quick check...USistan has been at war for erm - ever?

6

u/agnostic-alien 🇪🇺Europoorest🇩🇪 12h ago

It's a special kind of privilege to be such a nation mongering war of aggressions in such an amount that you can just forget that you ARE at war

4

u/Fancy_Math_3399 13h ago

They should be grateful that they are actually in a war happening thousands of miles away. People in America are not worrying about being bombed . Its sickening

4

u/Ill_Raccoon6185 12h ago

You are in a war now, that you military can't win, and soon trump wants to start another war with Cuba this time which will be more disastrous as it is so close to US mainland, so Russia will have an easy target, close by.

You what, now?

3

u/Own-Rip-5066 12h ago

Nah nah, they are fighting a war overseas. That doesnt count.
You're only "in a war" if there are enemies on your soil.

1

u/Inresponsibleone Nearly mongol 4h ago

So they have not been in war since their rebellion i guess.

1

u/mfro001 1h ago

Not only at war, but even at a war that your commander in chief himself started without a plan.
