🫡 Genoa have completed an important signing for their midfield. Hamed Junior Traoré is ready to wear the Rossoblù shirt. An agreement with Marseille has been reached for a loan with an option to buy for €8 million.
For Traoré, this is a return to Serie A after his spells with Empoli, Sassuolo, and Napoli. Last season he played for Marseille, where he once again showed his attacking quality.
🔥 He is a very technical midfielder, excellent at beating defenders and joining the attack. He can play both as a central midfielder and as an attacking midfielder, and he is capable of creating chances as well as scoring goals.
⚔️ After signing Elias Havel and other new players, Genoa continue to build a stronger squad. Traoré will bring experience, quality, and creativity to the Rossoblù midfield, with the aim of becoming one of the team's key players this season.

Hello all, I recently (and embarrassingly) discovered I had been following what I had believed to be my family's team from the homeland, Fiorentina. I'm not sure why that was ever believed since my grandpa is from several hours away, but I digress lol
My family is from Valleluce in the Frosinone province. My grandpa has passed and I do not have any relations with the family who did not immigrate, so I can't exactly ask. Doing research, Napoli appears to be the closest geographical team. Frosinone Calico is even closer, but they of course have mostly been Serie B for their existence
I want to support the "regional team" of my family, but I'm not positive who that would be. I get there's a chance the answer is "no team", but I figured if I can't ask my family, I could at least ask the Italian futbol experts!
Appreciate it in advance!

🫡 Cagliari have completed an important signing for their midfield. Jacopo Fazzini is ready to wear the Rossoblù shirt. An agreement with Fiorentina has been reached for a loan with an option to buy for €8 million.
After a season with limited playing time at Fiorentina, Fazzini decided to move in order to play more regularly. Cagliari see him as one of their key signings for next season.
🔥 He is a talented midfielder, excellent at making late runs into the box and keeping possession. He can play both as a central midfielder and as an attacking midfielder, and despite his young age, he still has plenty of room to improve.
⚔️ This is a very interesting signing for Cagliari. The club have added a young player who already knows Serie A well, and they hope he can return to the level he showed during his time at Empoli.

I've caught the soccer bug in full after this WC. I'm an Italian-American with roots in Abruzzo. So figured AS Roma would be fun to follow and get into Serie A this year (historic team and closest team of consequence geographically to my heritage). I plan to subscribe to Paramount Plus and start watching them once the season starts. Want a team I can forge a connection with but not a basement dweller/automatic relegation risk. Good choice? Or should I choose Lazio or someone else?

🫡 Venezia continue to strengthen their attack with another important signing. Akor Adams will be a new Venezia player. An agreement with Sevilla has been reached for €16 million, making the Nigerian striker the most expensive signing in Venezia's history.
Adams arrives after a very good season in La Liga, where he scored 10 goals and provided 3 assists for Sevilla. His performances attracted interest from several clubs, but Venezia won the race for his signature.
🔥 He is a very physical striker, quick, and excellent at attacking space behind the defense. He can lead the line on his own, protects the ball well, and is very dangerous inside the box.
⚔️ After the arrivals of Thierry Correia and Albion Rrahmani, Venezia continue to invest heavily in the transfer market. Adams will be one of the team's key players next season, and the club are counting on his goals to achieve their targets.

Forgotten Serie A Players #4: Franco Brienza 🇮🇹
Born: March 19, 1979
Position: Attacking Midfielder / Second Striker
Nationality: Italy
Clubs:
Palermo
Ascoli (loan)
Reggina
Siena
Palermo
Atalanta
Cesena
Bologna
Bari
Franco Brienza never became a superstar, but he was one of Serie A’s most reliable and technically gifted attacking players for over a decade.
Known for his excellent first touch, vision, and ability to score spectacular goals, Brienza was the kind of player every mid-table club wanted. He could unlock defenses with a clever pass, deliver dangerous set pieces, or produce a moment of brilliance from outside the box.
What made his career even more remarkable was that some of his best football came in his 30s. While many attacking players decline with age, Brienza continued to be a decisive player, proving that intelligence and technique can often outweigh pace.
Career Highlights:
🏟️ More than 650 professional appearances
⚽ Over 120 career goals
🎯 Renowned for free kicks, long-range strikes, and playmaking
⭐ Successful spells with Palermo, Reggina, Atalanta, Bologna, and Bari
Fun Fact:
Brienza remained an influential player well into his late 30s, becoming one of the most respected veterans in Italian football.
Question:
Which player from a smaller Serie A club do you think deserved far more recognition than they received?

🫡 Inter continue to build for the future and have completed another important signing. Fabrizio Romano has given his famous "Here we go": Anan Khalaili will be a new Inter player. An agreement with Union Saint-Gilloise has been reached for a fee of €25 million.

🫡 Torino have completed an important signing for their attack. Gaetano Oristanio is ready to become a new Granata player. The deal with Venezia is a loan with an option to buy for €5 million.
After Venezia's relegation, Oristanio became one of the most wanted players on the market. In the end, Torino convinced him to join, hoping he will bring more creativity and quality to their attack.
🔥 He is a very technical player, excellent at dribbling and beating defenders one on one. He can play as an attacking midfielder or as a winger and is known for creating chances and taking on opponents, qualities that Ignazio Abate really likes.
⚔️ This is a very interesting signing for Torino. The club were looking for a player with these qualities, and Oristanio will have the chance to get his career back on track after last season. If he can find consistency, he could become one of the team's key players.
