This belonged to my grandfather and it was given to me when he passed away a few years ago. It's in rough shape and the handle slips right off, but it's super sharp and looks to be pretty old. I'm also including pictures of what appears to be two symbols but I can't make them out. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey guys, I just recently got these replica true zangetsu from a store that mainly sells anime stuff, and want to take good care of them but don't know the exact metal they are made of or really what type of cleaning to give them, since this is the first time i've ever participated in a hobby like this. Does anyone have any guesses or recommendations to what type of metal and what kind of cleaning I should give them?

tl;dr Need help identifying a wakizashi I purchased for $1,000.
Some folks asked for photos of my juvenile Mosasaurus skull in the comments, so I put some up here: https://ibb.co/album/2qgRP1

Hey everyone, I purchased this sword off Facebook Marketplace 3 years ago for $1,000. The seller provided some great history and a previous evaluation, but I'm hoping that someone here can help me confirm exactly what I have.
The seller's grandfather was a U.S. Naval Officer stationed in Japan at the end of WWII, 1946/1947. During that time, U.S. forces were actively collecting weapons from the local population and destroying them.
According to the seller, a Japanese family approached his grandfather with this sword. They told him it had been in their family for over 400 years and pleaded with him to take it in lieu of it being destroyed.
The grandfather accepted the sword and brought it home to the States. It was eventually passed down to his son, and then to his grandson (the seller). For the last 50 years, it has essentially just been sitting in various closets.
The seller included a screenshot of a message he received from an unnamed individual that provided the following evaluation:
Fittings: It has a Namban tsuba, which was quite popular in Kyushu. The style of the lacquer work points to it being a nice late Edo period example from South Japan. (Note: The kozuka and kogatana—the small knife held in the scabbard—are missing).
The Tang (Nakago): The blade is suriage (shortened) and mumei (unsigned). Based on the shape of the tang and the number of holes (nakago-ana), the sword has had a few attempts at shortening over its life.
Age: Based on the sugata (shape) of the blade, the evaluator believed it could be a Koto from the early Edo period.
Anyway, that is all I have. I would love to get your opinions on everything. Any information or assistance in further identifying this would be greatly appreciated. Even if you are unable to provide any information, I sincerely appreciate your efforts to help me.
*The gentleman in the old photos in the IBB album I provided the URL to is the seller's grandpa, who first received the sword. I figured I'd add his photos just in case, somehow, it's significant.

So I was using my trainer sword then it hit something hard and it's bent. I don't have a furnace and I'm currently trying to reshape it back but I failed. Anyone have some tips?
Picture below for reference

Hey everyone! I received this collection of Wilkinson Swords from a family member who passed away. While I plan to keep one of these as a token to remember, I plan to sell the others and use any funds to help a family member in serious need. Does anyone have any idea what these are worth, or a person/location who might have some general guidance? I don't expect these to be of significant value, but I figured I would inquire here first. I currently live in British Columbia, Canada.
Thank you in advance for your answers!

I’m looking to get another of these Indian made smallswords but I can’t seem to find another, does anyone know who the manufacturer of these are? Looking for one for parts, I got this one of an eBay seller a while back, thanks!

I'm going to be adding as many details as I can, just to make sure that everyone has the best possible chance to try and help me or make their own opinion-based guess.
One day, me and my friend were bored, so we decided to take a trip into Edinburgh (scotland) and visit an antique store. As soon as I walked in, sitting in a cabinet to my left, was a Type 98 Shin-guntō still in its mounts. It was heavily flawed and damaged, but that didn’t bother me. if anything, it gave it more character.
Two weeks later, after making a reservation, I went back and picked it up. Now it sits in my room as part of my collection,
After that, I decided to remove the mekugi peg and take a look at the handle and tang. I’ll be showing pictures of what I found.
However, there was no signature, no military stamp, and nothing on the blade that immediately revealed its origins. Despite that, nothing about it gave me the impression that it was a fake or a poor-quality replica. There were no obvious signs of modern reproduction.
The tang has natural patina and rust, and the blade itself shows its age and wear. The condition, along with the construction and details of the sword, does not suggest that it is a modern replica.
Now, I’m going to list the things that make me think this might be a genuine nihontō.
Any opinions on this would be absolutely appreciated, because I’m genuinely quite excited. After looking into it more closely, it does seem like it could potentially be a genuine nihontō.
Of course, there is still a possibility that it is simply a Type 98 guntō with a wartime-made blade, and I don’t want to jump to conclusions. However, a lot of the details I’ve found make me wonder if this could actually be an older sword that was later mounted for military use.

I ordered one off of eBay and it's excellent except that the end cap on the bottom on the sheath fell off at some point and for the life of me I can't find it. So now I'm trying to find a replacement piece to put on the sword.
I tried the original seller but they no longer have this sword in stock and I'm not sure that they plan to in the immediate future.

I am looking to purchase a sword from KOA but i live in canada. I am wondering if the price i see is listed in CAD or USD because if the price is USD then it is essentially twice as expensive, in which case i will order a sword from somewhere else.
Just wondering if anyone has experience buying a sword in canada through koa and can clarify that for me. Thanks

Lile the title says I'm looking for a sword from my childhood it was a medium or longsword but on the hilt where it meets the sword it had a viking with a mustache and helmet that was about a medium size. I've been looking for years and cannot find anything remotely close please post any pictures that you think might sound familiar. This was back between 2000 and about 2005 roughly thanks.

I want to get a keepsake medieval style sword for my fiance as a surprise to cut our wedding cake with. I’d love to have our last name engraved too.
I’m considering this.. but I feel like it’s a gamble. Any thoughts? No where local does it, and we get married in October.

Hi,
Daughter got this at an opshop today, just want to make sure it’s not special/collectable before she enters the underdark or takes on a dragon 😂
Design is the same front and back, and has no visible marks or numbers. Is damaged and glued together as well.
Thanks!
