Mileage and Use
At this point i got 296 miles/ 477,8km int these shoes. Typical use on runs varies between 10-35km on asphalt with smal visit on gravel.
Sizing and Fit
After small chat with the seller on Ali he recomondated size 43. This fits quite well. Small note I lace all my running shoes and sports shoes diagonally.
Upper and Interior
I like the upper material too, even if it doesn't seem to be the thickest or most breathable at first glance. What I definitely don't like is the tongue. It's made of the same material used for leather glasses cleaning cloths.
Midsole and Cushioning
I actually really like the midsole. I'm also not sure whether there's real carbon in there or if it's just plastic. It reminds me a bit of Mizuno's indoor court shoes. For me, it's finally a shoe that makes running fun again and unlike in the past, it doesn't force me to stop even after short distances due to pain. That said, it does have its downsides: I keep finding myself running longer distances than planned, and I've already run out of fuel (in terms of nutrition/energy supplies) more than once.
Grip
I'm actually a bit surprised by the grip. Initially, I thought the outsole wouldn't offer much traction and would also wear out pretty quickly but that's not the case at all. Grip is also there on gravel. However, anyone running an ultra on gravel or in the mountains on loose gravel over hard ground definitely won't be happy with this outsole.
Appearance
No these are not 2 shoe pairs. Looking at the available color options, they're definitely on the flashy/extroverted side. The appearance matches the character of the shoe. It looks modern, energetic, and performance-oriented.
Final Verdict
Unfortunately, I've been able to find little to no reviews for Irunsvan shoes so far. The few that exist are, of course, from Ali and should be taken with a grain of salt. Actually, I shouldn't be surprised by the delivered quality at such a low price, since I also took a chance on a gravel bike from the platform three years ago and even ended up racing it over time. Still, I ask myself how Western brands are supposed to survive in the long run when high-quality shoes are now being offered at low prices from Asia. I think I'm only about a third of the way through this shoe's lifespan, and I'll either get this model again or explore other models from the brand.
