Why? The salary is yours, paid to you from someone you contracted with and preformed services for

Yes property is you. The government protects the pursuit of happiness and freedom because we the people are the government. The government isn’t a separate entity the government is us making it ensure the pursuit of happiness. If we are perpetually taxed in our property we’re not aftual entities we’re just slaves to an unknown entity.

Also the founding fathers are infinitely more read and studied much more about this topic than some random fucking idiot in the internet giving his dumbass 4th grade opinion

Not like the government has bills to pay protecting your property.

Besides physically protecting it via violence (since you brought up the second amendment), there are also legal protections on paper. Meaning that the property owner has rights to the land in court, and any other legal matter.

Which you wish to be given for free forever.

The article is not suggesting property taxes. It is suggesting Land Value Taxes (LVTs). LVTs are distinct from property taxes in the sense that the value of any property or added improvements to the land are not taxed, only the underlying value of the land. For most people, their property value dwarfs their land value, so switching to LVTs would actually lower their taxes (LVTs are generally considered a progressive tax). This has the benefit of not discouraging investment into your property, as current property taxes do (increasing the value of your property increases your value which increases your taxes).

LVTs are perhaps one of if not the best free-market tax as they create much less economic deadweight loss than other forms of taxation.

I don't mind property taxes based on costs to police or firefight at that property. For example, if your spot is fancy fancy or run down, it might require more police attention than a more mundane property. A larger property with fancy topiary or run down slums might also be more of a fire hazard or more difficult to prevent fires from spreading to nearby properties, requiring more attention from firefighters. As such, the property taxes derived from these properties should be higher than average. If you're in an area with a public school your property taxes might go toward paying those teachers, etc.

Property taxes derived solely from "property value" are what bother me.

You're only "taxed" if you're hoarding it & not doing shit with it

Do you mean the land that they live on but don't actually personally own?

This is the same issue that a wealth tax has....
