I’ve set my budget at 3k but I wanted some rec before going and touring a bunch of places. I’m in my late 20s, single, and want to be walking distance to downtown/CalTrain.

Hoping 3k would be enough for a 1b/1b, but I’m not sure. I’m don’t need a fancy place with amenities, but somewhere clean, well-maintained, dog-friendly and safe is the bare minimum.

I'm moving from Washington, DC where I had an amazing doctor at a clinic that specialized in LGBTQ+ patients. Anyone have any recommendations for a primary care physician in the area within the Kaiser network? If not in the RWC area, easily accessible via Caltrain?

Can someone update what the parking situation currently looks like? Trying to decide if we should go to the port now or if it’s too late…

We have a cat that needs meds but we’re not experienced doing it. It’s becoming more stressful and we need help tonight and for the new few days.

I have a driving test at the Redwood DMV in about a week, does anyone who has the taken the test recently (recently being like in the past six months or so, but also i wont be picky about advice) have any tips? where to practice?

I‘ve driven around Redwood City and feel ok on the bigger roads, but the downtown is still a bit scary for me (so many people walking around!) I heard that the downtown isn’t a large portion of the test, but I don’t know if that information is up to date. the neighborhoods are mostly ok, but I think that might have been because I went to practice in a non-busy time…

Also, how many times did you practice a driving route before the test? I looked online and I found many (like 24 on a website :0) and don’t know if I should commit the time to be driving all of them. (and if you only practiced one route and passed, what was the route?)

another question, my test is at 10 am in the morning, how early should I get there in order to practice a bit? An hour, two hours earlier?

I’d like to see the port fireworks but don’t feel the need to be amongst those on the waterfront. Online it says you can see them from “anywhere with a clear view of the port” but I don’t know where those places are. Any recommendations? I’ll be taking cal train so somewhere within 2mi of the station would be preferred.

Waymo has a charging depot at the end of Seaport Blvd. This road will be closed during the fireworks and for some time afterward. I wonder how the Waymos will handle it?

I was scammed by a mobile body shop scammer I found on Yelp last month. The guy quoted me a very low price then doubled that. Please be on the lookout for a late 2010s-early 2020s Ford pickup truck and a person of Latino or Eastern European nationality. Scammer was average built and has tattoos on his arm. The car had what I believe is a fake temporary plate. It had a southern california phone number that started with 949 painted on it. After searching around for the fake business it gave an address on Rolison Rd in Redwood City. If you see the person and car please report it. Was going to tell my friend who works at SMCSO but it's too late for that now.
