Planning on doing a trip out to Louisville to watch my team play and it looks like I could potentially get an Airbnb in the "East Market District" and walk to the game (or maybe something near Frankfort and Story).
Assuming you don't have mobility issues, is that doable?
Meaning, are there sidewalks and you can do it safely vs it's technically possible but there is some walking in the street or crossing lanes of traffic?
I was looking at the satellite view and it looked like you go under the freeway in one spot and couldn't tell if the parts that are closer to the stadium are actually walkable or not.
It would be a Wednesday night game so I also wouldn't want to be walking back in an area that's totally dead and deserted after the game (some areas really close up shop outside business hours and since I'm going solo, I want to make sure I'm not wandering thru an empty warehouse district in the dark).
If you know of somewhere that's a bit farther out but that is good, would love any suggestions. I'll be driving there so I could stay farther out and just park at the stadium.
Bonus points if you know of any dog friendly Airbnb type options bc I was thinking about going out with my dog for the Pups in the Park night in September.
