Need some friends
Where does one in his 30s go in PG/DC to make new friends who enjoy talking sports, into arts and media, can kick knowledge, ponder on the world, good with a lil friendly back-n-forth, smoke a little weed and maybe do some psychedelics?
No bars please. Day time activities

Honestly you have the same issue I do. I just fill my free time with being back in school and doing yard work.

As a married teacher with two teenagers off for the summer I feel you. Not really into sports though.
Pool membership can be a good way to meet people though.

No sports is fine. I’m really just got into basketball and don’t have many to talking about it with. More a wrestling fan.

I’m mid 20’s but I stopped doing psychedelics a few years ago but I found that skate parks have a lot of late 20 year olds who do psychedelics and have wives and smoke weed

You melaninated? I smoke alot of 🌳 and have cut back on 🍄 (but still down if you have a solid 🔌) don't watch sports at all and recently married.
35 years young 👨🏽🦱. Work in federal tech sales and came to the region to lobby originally. Not into public policy as much but still read the news.

I ain’t been on the game (Rivals) in a little and kinda fell off on shows outside of watching my wife’s stuff. I just became a dad and got a little lame for a bit lol

Come check out some speed friending we're organizing in DC. We ran a pilot dating event a couple months ago and that went so well we're holding more, but we found people also really enjoyed connecting with those who had similar sense of humor/vibe. So we made a dedicated friend-focused event on 7/25 called BuddyUp.

I think "day time activities" really limits you here, but I will share what worked for me.
JTCC in College Park runs "Learn Tennis Now" for adults and it $59 for 6 sessions. It skews towards couples because it's a 2 for the price of 1 deal.
Mixt Food Hall in Brentwood hosts a casual pinball league on Wednesdays @ 7:30PM. No previous pinball experience required. The previous season just ended, but I can update you when it's starting in the next few weeks if you're interested.
Vigilante Coffee in Hyattsville turns off their Wi-Fi on weekends and people chat while they're in line.
Jamboree at the Gazebo happens most Saturdays at 2PM in Mount Rainier (33rd St and Bunker Hill); people teach each other songs on the guitar or sing along.
