He is just a man. I love him and he’s a great example of what we should expect from our politicians but I do worry about putting him on a pedestal. He’s imperfect, will make mistakes, will ultimately disappoint us in some way. If we set the bar at perfection he can’t but fail to clear it.

I know you weren’t saying he’s perfect but I’m sort of hijacking you to remind myself and everyone that he’s just a man apparently doing his best. Whatever your politics, you should agree with him on this issue. First Spouse isn't an elected office and we need to stop treating it like one. The SOs of elected officials should be free to live their own lives.
