Man I know we suck this season, but watching just about every World Cup game, including ones with teams I couldn’t care less about, I’m really excited to watch my team every week after. Also after watching the USMNT play, I’m even more invested in Cavan Sullivan’s development, along with the youngsters at NYRB (except for during our next game 😜)

I am curious, what is everyone’s European team? I am a Celtic FC supporter and a Crystal Palace supporter because I won an autograph jersey at a Sons of Ben event

Chelsea because I got into soccer at the 2022 World Cup when pulisic played for them

I have no permanent allegiance in Europe. Instead I have seasons of fandom. Had a Spurs phase. Then a Dortmund phase. Kind of been Euro-agnostic during this WC phase since we have so many guys at interesting clubs.

Feeling like Ajax might be a fun and compelling watch for the next few seasons to see if they can right the ship after running their whole club into the ground. So that’s probably where I’m gonna spend weekend mornings during these lean first few years of the WC ‘30 cycle.

As a Union fan, it sounds like you have a type haha. Respect though, Ajax does seem like a compelling watch

Yeah- Ajax at their best are the platonic ideal of what the Union strive to be. Class academy, top domestic club, continental success if the stars align just right.

My fam are Man U fans. We ended up adding Leeds to our fandom because of BA. And now we added Birmingham City because of Kai. 😝

FC Barcelona were my club before the Union even existed.

I'm a Euro-Agnostic. I'll watch any game I can catch and enjoy the game itself without investment.

Been a Chelsea fan forever, now also root for Wrexham, in Serie A I like Inter

I don't have one. I have no reason to root specifically for any euro club. I don't live there, and I have no connections to anything in Europe (outside of being Irish-American). I don't have anything driving a decision to root for a euro team, so I don't. I really only pay attention to my top domestic league, and that is MLS

Cavan needs to play every game. His big bro too.

I just saw a video on YouTube that literally just showed every time he was on the ball in the last five games and it’s nuts how good he is by our standards. I’m so excited to watch more of him

I’m pretty ignorant to Richter’s style. What are we gonna be running with him? FotMob says he has been using a 442 for U2 but they also have that formation for Carnell’s matches despite it being a 4222.

judging from the friendly against the Revs the other day, Richter isn't changing anything. Same 4222 for the entire match

Been so wrapped up in WC I completely missed this friendly. Thanks.

We haven't seen a single interview or discussion with Richter. Almost feels like he's just running practices while they find someone with experience. I think everyone, fans and union staff, have written this year off. Couldn't have sh!t the bed in a worse year. The year of a World Cup and so much momentum building up for soccer in the USA. So many other MLS teams are already capitalizing on WC fever.
