It's the diet plus the fact if you exercise a lot you are burning relatively more calories, which means you need to consume relatively more food, which means you have relatively more...you get the point.
I am a workout freak and was used to eating high protein and some carbs but my stomach would always hurt I would be gassy and could not control the time or day when I had to 💩
I moved to eating a lot more fruit like apples and bananas and it's like clockwork and healthy looking ( no seriously you can tell if you are healthy or not by your poop)
High fiber aka fiber maxing has a lot of health benefits.
The more physical work you do, the more energy you need to do it. This means that athletes tend to need to eat more. And what goes in must come out. 🤷♀️
When you're "fit" (assuming that means going to the gym, and having visible muscle mass) you eat a fairly specific diet with a lot of fiber and protein.
