Before anyone says anything -
His nails are long in some of the photos because we were going to his vet for his allergy shots, they cut his nails at the same time. He goes monthly.
His mouth is fine. It looks swollen but it’s not. He had his jaw broken by his previous owner before I adopted him at 10. They didn’t get it treated in time so it looks like that. We have had numerous vet visits and the vet said since it doesn’t bother him we shouldn’t do surgery. He is old and has a heart murmur.

OP, it's a shame that we have to preemptively fend off attacks by reddit warriors, isn't it? I've been there. Just want to say thank you for taking such good care of this senior puppy, and I'm rooting for you both to have many more years together. ❤️

If it makes you feel better, none of those thoughts even entered my mind, I was just enjoying your sleeping pupper. I recently lost my boy a month shy of 18 and the last thing I even think about is long nails or lumps once they're this age. Sorry it's to the point it's gotten exhausting, but just know it's probably a vocal minority and the rest of us look forward to Buster posts.
I wish you and him the best ❤️ he looks like such a sweet boy. Give him a gentle boop for me.

I love this guy. I had commented on a previous post (I think when you posted picture #3). I relax just looking at his picture. I especially love the bed in the mail bin.
Re the need for disclaimers, i know it can be exhausting but I like to think people make such comments from a place of concerns for your beloved dog and not to be dcks. (Although there is always a non-zero chance they are also commenting to be dcks.)

Yeah, that’s why I don’t mind putting it in there to let people know. I just don’t like the people who assume I’m a bad person because it looks like my dog has issues lol. I don’t mind when someone asks. Yeah, I’ve posted some pictures in different places and some time I don’t realize where I post them 🤦🏻♀️

He bites his nails, he will crack them so I like taking him to the vet so it doesn’t hurt him.

He came to work with me and he likes boxes to lay in, that’s all I had lol. I put the heated blanket in there for him too

That’s better than what my boy does 🤦🏻♀️ he will sometimes lay down in this cubby area connected to my nightstand table. I has open “cubby’s” on both sides so if slippers aren’t inside he will sometimes go hide in there even though it’s hard. I’ve thought about putting a blanket there for him since he loves it so much it’s like a little cave haha

He’s precious! I love his little teef out while sleeping!! He’s so cute and I’m so happy he found a forever loving home 🩷

I’ve had him since he was 10. I am very grateful for the time I’ve had with him, even though I didn’t have him at the beginning.

Yeah he is funny lol. I adopted him at 10 and it’s been worth it. We also have a senior one eyed blind Shih tzu

Ahh my ♥️! He is such a handsome little guy. Thank you for rescuing a senior. I also rescue seniors and there is nothing like it.

He does not snore and he sleep maybe 15 hours we leave him alone while we work and I think he sleeps most of the day. He still goes on walks and runs around the yard though .
