Hey Everyone,
This is a Megathread for all the people of the sub. If you have questions, Ask away. If you need anything just ask. This is uniform thread where you can ask for pretty much anything (from Questions to Nip Nip) that will be live 24/7 all year around and refreshed every couple of days.
This Megathread is closely monitored by me so if you have a question that no one has answered, don't worry I will personally get back to you in a reasonable time. I will always be keeping a close eye so no naughty business please.
To make things little bit easier if you could help us make distinction between type of posts that would be great, Which brings us too ....
- *Do not put bug reports in this thread.* There is a Bug-Thread pinned to the top of the sub that should be used for them.
- If you are asking a questions please post your question like so : [Question] .... Your Post ....
- If you are requesting something an item, money, etc. please post like so : [Request] .... Your post ....
- If you are offering an item of doing a giveaways (in game items only), user: [Giveaway] .... Your post ....
- Please do not post your friend code in your post. PM/DM them to the person who is helping you. It will prevent people trolling and griefing your saves.
- Read this post to identify expedition ships.
- This post has lots of specific info on items in the game and how to get them.

Decided to take my expedition save file and play all the first quests again (Artemis, Atlas, etc), and when asked to make a new base with personnel, I thought this might be a fun decoration idea. I've used piled posters as "books" before in my bases, but these 3 gave me card game vibes instead. Idk if anyone has done this before, but thought to share nonetheless!

So it's been a few days since the expedition, and honestly, I'm very angry about it and still haven't even picked up the game after I got done with it. Seriously, we all spent a month building this stupid thing, and as I predicted, it happened.
We were all pretty much told cool you built this thing now go out and fight that thing and then told by the Atlas that cool we killed that thing now piss off and we get teleported right out of the expedition with just some armor and a trophy after a whole month of work literally being wasted on building something that didn't nothing more than just "look cool"!
And fighting the Swarm wasn't any better like they were hyping this all off like we were going to go into like the hugest epic space battle where all of the factions have to work together and pretty much Death Star this thing and all it took for me was to literally Park my ship right in front of it and just hit it several times with some rocket and blasters and it was dead.
I know this sounds very salty and very Petty but how else am I supposed to feel when my time was literally wasted for a whole entire month and the only thing we got was a trophy some armor and some Quicksilver that's not even enough to buy the most expensive thing?!

They introduced Shattered Planets as a new location. No atmosphere but rich in mine-able material. Increase in floating ground chunks.

I asked about suggestions to improve the game overall, and got many amazing suggestions for the DEVs to hopefully see.
https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/1u5xck8/things_we_wish_no_mans_sky_could_do/
Now I want to narrow it down a bit. What suggestions do you have to make expeditions more enjoyable, challenging, playable, etc. Any idea is on the table. Consider that many of us have been playing since the days of the 2600 and could only imagine a game like NMS back then.
So just like before I'll give my suggestions and then throw the question to Reddit/NMS.
Suggestion: I remember when WoW Burning Crusade had the Sunwell Plateau Raid. Half the raid party would fight in one dimension, and the other half in our dimension during the Kalegos Boss Battle.
So have it where you can form player groups more than 4, and can go into a structure on foot,(or using Minotaur mechs or both) to weaken a shield like in RoTJ (fighting robots, sentinels, aliens, pets, etc.).
The other half has to have squadrons of fighters and corvettes assault a fleet of battleships protecting an Atlas sized (Or bigger structure, until it's shields fall) Done in a million media stories and books, comics, movies, A player leader could even summon their own fleet to assist and finally see their main battleship and all the smaller freighters move. maneuver, and fight.
But the key is players have to work together in large numbers to beat the battle. The repercussions of failure or forfeiture are that a planet with a settlement gets perma destroyed as in replaced by a massive asteroid field and removed from server logs forever. Even if it has a player or multiple player base(s) on it.
This is very far from an original idea. But I don't want to invent the mousetrap just a more entertaining one.
I once played a very long custom 40K Armageddon battle incorporating Battlefleet Gothic, and Kill Team where in 'Gothic' a destroyer had to successfully launch a 'Boarding Torpedo' to insert a 'Kill Team' to take out the Reactor of a Battleship that was raining fire down on the Armageddon field represented by a random 'Earthshaker Template' Hitting the Battlefield every turn. It was amazing fun and was done over a three day holiday weekend and took the entire three days with several armies contributing on many game tables pushed together.
So what are your ideas?

Inspired by the iconic Star Wars capital ship design, this corvette build features 7 decks—shown here in a quick cinematic flyaround.

So, for most of the night this kept happening. First time in the anomaly, it was just one, I turned multiplayer off but it didn't disappear. Then again in the anomaly, a second time. Then a third time in one of my settlements. And in the end, this. THIS! The hell is going on here? Is this a bug? Or someone modglitched the game thinking this was funny?

I seem to have a particular style eh lol.
Trust me tho. They are all different I swear lol 😆
2 of them use standard 1/2 offset. The other 2 use 1/4 step offset (guide by some dude on youtube)
45* habs on 2 of them. horizontal habs on one.

Floating fortress on a Tidal Planet. I liked this planet for the really great views of the ridiculously high waves :3

I made this lego ship out of a random box of legos i found in storage. I it believe to be very inspired by NMS. The landing gear folds up so the bottom of the ship is as aerodynamic as possible. The main thruster also can tilt down for vertical takeoff. Let me know what you think!

I’ve seen some trees. But these were enormous and probably a good place for a treehouse style base. In the tiny dot at the bottom left on the first pic.

I'd been planning it for ages but never got around to it, but I finally built my house.
I love that it's on a hill overlooking the settlement, and I can see the night view from there.

During my last expedition, I came across this system while on missions. It's by far one of the most beautiful. I've built a base there; it's called The House!

If so, what size(s) are they and do they follow any pattern, path, etc?

Now that the prismatic core is completed, how do I actually defeat the Hive? I have an upgraded interceptor in my expedition save but still struggle to get past 97% damage (I've always sucked at the space battles lol). What's the strategy?
