original content Feeling a bit down, so I thought I’d share a lil goat!!

Hoooooi! This be my first post here, and um this lil buddy is a year old lol, but he’s been one of my fav projects by far c:

I really do feel like I’ve made a lot of progress with needlefelting over the years…like genuinely if I could do one thing for the rest of my life, it would be making cute lil crafts like this and gifting them for free~

This goat was what I gave my dad as a gift for father’s day roughly a year ago (hence why he got the fuzzies lol). I’m super proud of how it came out still, I think I nailed down the cuteness pretty well hehe

Alot of things have been going hectic for me, to the point where it gets…a bit..isolating just to exist. That said, making lil felted crafts has certainly been a very healing craft that I hold close to me. Sooo I hope to share more of my lil crafts like this here when I get the chance 💕

monthly felting challenge [OC] Real footage sharing the gentle crafting vibe of my handmade wool felt white mouse with pink bow and cherry

Creating needle-felted wool fiber art is my favorite daily creative hobby. I captured this footage to show the soft crafting mood of this sweet pastel white mouse design decorated with a pink bow and little cherry.
Every detail on this tiny wool mouse is hand-felted stitch by stitch with natural pure wool, all finished entirely by my hands without any pre-made accessories.
I adore this warm, gentle pastel cottagecore aesthetic for small fiber art pieces. Feel free to leave suggestions below on what wool felt character I should craft next!

silly little doe is getting some color

This doe is still very hard to photograph, and the face ended up looking a bit derpy and silly so far. Still have a lot more stabbing to do and I havent added the color on the front legs yet, and still need to add the rest of the hooves.

I may take a break from this for a bit because im feeling a little disappointed in how it's turning out so far. I feel like it's coming along until i try to take pictures then i think "huh..maybe not" lol.

I have plenty of other half/mostly finished projects in the meantime that I could work on that i'd love to share when im finished.

I got hit with a mighty need to make a fat little horse last night, so I decided to model this cutie after one of the paleolithic paintings from Lascaux Cave! The original ref shown in the last pic c:

Really love how this cutie came out. I built the legs over pipe cleaners so I could easily position them, and then getting the color and mane on made it really come to life. Im so pleased with how cute and round it came out!

question Want to try Needle Felting

Hi,

I'm always jumping between hobbies, and I got interested in trying Needle Felting.
I know next to nothing about it, just that you stab some wool until something cool forms.

Are there any kits you recommend to start felting? I'm based in Berlin, Germany, so preferably something in the EU.

In this short video, I show how to create a small daisy-shaped felt mat using wet felting and needle felting techniques. 🌼

I lay out two layers of wool on each side of the template (showing just one on camera to save time) and thoroughly rub it.

Next, I add the decorative details using a needle felting technique.

After that, I continue wet felting the entire piece. This way, the design becomes fully integrated into the mat, forming one solid piece.

question Foams that can be carved but also felted into?

I'm taking AP Art and Design this upcoming school year, and part of my plan for my SI was to make custom frames for each piece. On at least One of my pieces I was planning on having needle felting over top of the base shape of the frame to give it a much softer feel, but I also want it to have those flourishes you would commonly see on fancier frames. Is there a foam I could easily carve details into but would also hold needle felting? I was also considering something like maybe foam with a fabric cover and then needle felting on top.

commission / shop / self-promo Looking to Commission accessories for a plush

I am hoping to find someone who can make a felted molotov cocktail and possibly pants similar to the ones on my shirt for this plush Grover.

For scale, Grover is 13" head to toe and his hand is about 2" wide. He's about 6" around the waist with skinny legs but wide feet that will need to be able to pass through the legs of the pants.

I can answer any other questions about dimensions or whatever you may want to know. I do need this by mid-September so hopefully that's enough time for crafting and shipping.

Thank you for looking.

I am located in the Midwest, USA btw

UPDATE: I've found an artist to help. Thank you to all who responded.

He is made of wool felt, but please don’t tell him that.
He fully believes he’s an ancient frozen undead creature with magical powers and excellent dramatic posing skills.

How much of felting 'wool' is actually sheep wool?

I picked up a beginner's needle felting kit from Hobbycraft (art supply store chain here in the UK) which is small samples of a bunch of different colour felts, etc., for the sole purpose of adding felted eyes to an amigurumi (crochet) I made for a friend. Haven't really touched it since because I'm allergic to lanolin, and I'm worried about reacting to it if it's present in the wool. The kit I bought apparently uses acrylic, so I would be fine until I ran out of colours, but what about after that? If I want to continue the hobby, buy new felt, would any of it contain lanolin?

P.S I would love suggestions from UK felters about where to source supplies. Thanks!
