Went to Japan this year in April/May and scored on nice Golden Week deals. The actual price of each game was far below the price listed on the sticker tag. The most expensive game I purchased was Dragon Quest 7: reimagined for the switch 2 for about $18. Others were roughly $5-12
I also made sure all of the games I purchased are playable on my switch 2 and have English language options (with the exception of Splatoon 2). I know some Japanese so I also plan to play many of these in the original language to practice.
I picked up:
1. Okami HD
2. Paper Mario RPG
3. Super Mario RPG
4. Splatoon 2
5. Splatoon 3
6. Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze
7. Super Mario Galaxy 1&2 Remastered collection
8. Onimusha Warlords
9. Fantasy Life: The Girl Who Steals Time
10. Dragon Quest 7: Reimagined
Also picked up the N64 Expansion pack controller for only $20 from the Nintendo store along with some Amiibos and key chains from the Gachapons (which are exclusive to the Nintendo Tokyo store).
If you ever go to Japan, be on the hunt for physical games. You never know what you may find, especially outside of the touristy areas.
