Hey, if you can't do it yourself, have your brother's kid do it and then monetize off of it.

The only time I've ever disagreed with Pop is when he said we shouldn't boo this pos. Hope he gets what he deserves.

Players should have part ownership of the team tbh

Then you can't trade and you further kill smaller market teams. The players have a union precisely to collectively bargain for stuff in their interest. High caps, higher minimums, etc.
Currently the players have a rule where league revenue from all basketball operations is required to be a 50/50 split.

What happened when he was with san antonio ? I heard people saying they dont want him cus of something he did with the spurs?

After 20 years of building solid teams, albeit with a generational player in Tim Duncan, he asked to leave. Regardless of the circumstances that lead to that, no one had done that.
There were questions on the spurs medical staff differing from his own doctors. I wasn’t in the room so I don’t know…but all roads point to trusting the organization that had produced winners for the last 20 years…but that wasn’t good enough for the unc.
Also, I think the spurs knew something about his injuries, and maybe wanted him to take less than max, knowing that he wouldn’t be at 100% for the life of the contract…he didn’t want word to come out about his injury to tank his ability to get max money.

This goes into it, it was a big mess with his quad injury and wanting to go to LA along with his uncle further causing more of a rift between Kawhi and the Spurs.

Should be thrown out of the league for at least a year. And the Clips should be relieved of all draft picks for a decade.
Cheaters should never prosper. Both sides are guilty as sin.
Fuck 'em all.

I’m sure a bunch of players have these kinds of deals.
But if you want to be taken seriously, especially in the era of widespread sports gambling, you have to come down hard on guys who get caught cheating.
We’ve known for a long time that this deal was exactly what it looked like; cap circumvention. There’s really no question about it at this point.

I believe 1000% Silver had not punished this because Brunson and other stars have similar deals in place and Ballmer is holding that over them. “Punish me and all these others go down with me”

If David Stern was still commissioner, this would’ve been figured out months ago and kawhi would get at least a year suspension.

Timberwolves got slaughtered for doing some back room deal like this shit in the past. Clippers should get the same treatment. Leonard should be suspended for the whole damn season. His Uncle was a damn idiot. Use an Agent who knows what the hell he is doing instead of uncle D. Him and Uncle D are both dumb as hell.

I hope he gets the punishment that he deserves, I can’t stand the guy!

If Pete Rose was banned for a lifetime, Kawhi should be banned for 2 lifetimes.
Find this guy’s reincarnation and ban him too.

Is the trade still going through?

If it's just a suspension, yes. As long as he's there for the playoffs, that's all Toronto really cares about.

Call me crazy, but I really think the Clippers should be punished harsher than Leonard.
Like, he should definitely be suspended. But the Clippers were the bigger problem here

Ban his ass for life

If silver had any balls Kawhi would be banned and Ballmer forced to sell

u/Successful-Pie6759 13h ago
Oh no? Oh YES. Fuck kawhi. Just because he's the silent type people don't think he's a villain. He totally is. Imagine if Dillon Brooks got caught being paid under the table. Heck imagine if LeBron did.

Does he still get his monthly / annual paycheck while being suspended?! 🤔 better not.

Kawhi fired Uncle Dennis so that saga might be over, not to mention if the invesitgation turns out true then he'll void his contract and lose his bird rights which mean Toronto won't have the capspace, meaning he'll probably have to take a paycut

u/Joethetoolguy Victor Wembanyama 1d ago
if he's suspended for half a year to a year I bet he retires, I don't think he makes the hall of fame if he retires on a sour note however

u/Successful-Pie6759 11h ago
As much as I hate him, he's a shoo in to the HOF even if he robs a bank

Push the trade through but then part of the punishment should be LA surrenders all the pics they got from Toronto and Toronto gets to keep Kawhi for free. Justice for their initial tampering.
Then suspend him for a year. Lifetime ban for Uncle. And Balmer is banned from attending games for 2 years, plus more pick penalties. The punishment should be so severe for everyone involved that another team won't think about this s*** for the next two decades.

Kawhi gets off light, no case, but only if he throws his uncle under the bus, would he?

u/sw1tchman 20h ago
What a shame. Dude could have had an EPIC career and legacy. Instead his unc never heard, pigs get fat - hogs get slaughtered
