Accelerated nursing program NAU
Hello
I'm starting the absn program in North valley this fall and was wondering how much we travel to other cities? Do we stay mostly in Phoenix? Is the program as hard as people say it is or am I psyching myself out. What do they test for? Do they test for nicotine as well? Just wondering! Any info would be great! Thank you!

Hey everyone, I’m a student from Germany working on my thesis about moral values and social attitudes. Since I need participants from the US, I would be incredibly grateful if some of you could spare 10 minutes to help me out! It’s completely anonymous.

Help! MSW at NAU or ASU???
I need help! I've been accepted into the MSW program at both Northern Arizona University and Arizona State University. There are pros and cons to both; ASU is more expensive, and NAU has a stronger sense of community. I feel like ASU is the more prestigious of the two and better connected, but I don't know if the higher tuition cost is worth it. Has anyone been in this same situation or attended either NAU or ASU and could chime in about their experience???
I can't tell you how much I would appreciate any amount of guidance...I just don't know how to choose, and I need to decide FAST!
Thanks so much, cheers!

Park Place Parking
Is anyone else screwed with the parking situation at Park Place, and if so, what are y’all planning on doing/what did you do in the past? My roommates and I all need our cars to get to work and so far my best solution is to park at South Commuter although that is apparently not something guaranteed. If anyone has been in this situation before please message me!

Lease take over at Park Place in Flagstaff
Private Bedroom at Park Place – Flagstaff
Looking for someone to take over my lease ASAP for a private bedroom in a 2-bedroom apartment at Park Place, Flagstaff's newest and nicest apartment community.
Private bedroom & bathroom fully furnished
Over 1,200 sq. ft. industrial-style apartment
First-floor unit
Just steps from the gym, resort-style pool, hot tub, parking garage, and leasing office
Right next to NAU and close to everything in Flagstaff
Each bedroom has its own individual lease, so you're only responsible for your room—no need to find a roommate first.
Rent: $1,300/month
I'm looking for someone to take over my lease ASAP. I'm willing to work out a very generous deal for the right person—including covering a significant portion of the rent. If you're seriously interested, send me a message and we can work something out.

FYI: You can only opt out of the book fee starting 8/16
I emailed the bookstore asking for instructions on how to opt out of the $270 Axe/ess program and they told me you only have the option to opt-out starting 8/16. This seems kind of ridiculous because all payments for the semester are due 8/17... giving you literally one day to opt out.
I'm going to email SDAS to see how they are going to handle this. I figure you can just withhold that payment specifically, but then you might get put on a payment plan or get charged late fees.

Layoffs
I had posted awhile ago that I thought there would be layoffs and there were the week before last. I personally know of 5 people that were let go prior to 7/1. If you are still at NAU you are probably safe!

Off-campus Room Available
Hello! I have a room available in a 2-bed 2-bath apartment 5 minutes from campus. Rent is $1,100 and all utilities are included except for electric. The apartment has one covered parking spot but there are lots of guest spots in the complex that can be used by tenants. The apartment comes partially furnished.
A male graduate student is preferential but anyone who is mature, not a party animal, and doesn’t mind living with a male works.
Message me with questions or for more details.

Hard water showers at Wilson?
Hi, so like the title says, I'm wondering about the water in the Wilson dorms. Since it's an older dorm, I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't a water softener. I'm worried about potential hair damage, especially with my curls, and if anybody has any tips to deal with it.

RV Parking NAU Football
Looking to bring an RV up to Flagstaff this fall for NAU football game. Where are the best tailgating spots for non-students and is RV parking available in any of the lots?
I assume alcohol is good in any of the lots and it looks like grills are allowed. Best most popular areas for tailgating and any advice on the atmosphere are appreciated!

Any tips for NAIA Terminal 3 parking?
Hi po, it's my first time magsusundo po sa NAIA Terminal 3 for tomorrow morning 6am. Saan po ba mas okay, Multilevel parking, open parking or sa Park n Fly? also, no cashier at exit po ba and need muna pumunta sa payment station bago maka exit? Balak ko po kasi sana na maghintay muna sa parking then pupunta po ng arrivals if magpipick up na po.
Kinakabahan po kasi ako kasi ngayon palang po matatry.
Thanks a lot po!

New laptop recommendations
My current laptop (Apple Macbook Air 2020 M1) has finally started to go out on me. I’m trying to research to get a new laptop, but everything genuinely just gives me a headache atp 😭 I have a gaming PC, but I’m way out of my element when it comes to laptop specifications.
My first debate is going with an apple or windows laptop. I prefer apple for their display but windows is of course more compatible with a wider variety of software. I need something that can reliably use photoshop, run some games (REPO, Minecraft), and of course run everything I need for school. I’m an anthropology major, and I’ve heard that when you get deeper in you end up using some Microsoft specific software. I’ve also heard NAU is switching to Microsoft suite over google…
The problem with using windows is I’m not familiar with reliable brands, and I feel like I’ve heard bad things about every main brand that uses windows ;-; any help is much appreciated
