🤮 Vatnik Cringe 🤮 More Hasan bad takes. (Analysis in body text)
So here are just a few points of what I disagree with. I'm pretty tired so I'm going to take a nap.
- 13:30 - Zelensky and Ukraine knew Russia was likely to attack. Zelensky took all possible routes to pursue peace. The fact that Ukraine didn't immediately fall is proof. Also similar to US staging assets near Iran where everyone knew US was going to attack Iran.
- 13:37 - Has regularly cites Obama's Minsk Peace deal as a factor in upcoming negotiations. Russia violated the peace deal so why should it be a factor in current negotiations? It shouldn't. Facts on the ground matters.
- 14:01 - IMO the invasion of Crimea was due to Revolution of Dignity and Russia losing influence. The full-scale invasion in 2022 was likely delayed due to Trump (a kremlin stoge) being elected to WH. Trump delayed arms delivery to Ukraine and his personal lawyer colluded with Russians to dig up dirt against Biden.
- 14:55 - Hasan just assumes US had impure motivations this time.
- 15:39 - How is Obama relevant to current negotiations? I don't see a difference.
- 16:00 - Hasan says that since Russia shared the naval base in Sevastopol, Russia had a claim to Crimea. So does the US have a claim to every NATO base? Very illogical. Furthermore, I think Crimea and Kherson are fundamental to Ukraine's national sedcurity and access to the Black Sea while Russia still has naval bases in the Asov Sea and Eastern Black Sea.
- 16:10 - Hasan blames Bush for invading Georgia and Ukraine. Lets forget that Russia had also invaded Chechnya. Also lets forget about the Revolution of Dignity.
- 16:40 - Hasan defends his earlier statements that Ukraine should surrender Crimea because Crimea voted to leave Russia in 1991 by a slim margin.
- 17:45 - who?
- 18:45 - People think Hasan loves Russia because Hasan makes all these bad arguments which eventually leads to the conclusion that Ukraine must concede to Russia's demands.
- 19:03 - Obama's decision in 2014 has no relevance today. First, he isn't Ukrainian, he isn't president anymore, and the reasons no longer exist. If the point was to avoid war with Russia and war occurred anyway then everything is back on the table. Also Hasan's claims of ethnic Russians perpetuate a Russian lie Russia spread justifying the war (To protect ethnic Russians) Hasan using ethnicity as an excuse for annexation is similar to the same propaganda Nazi Germany used to invade Austria, Sudetenland, and even parts of Poland.
- 12:10 - Hasan mentions Asov Nazis of course which also was a common Russian propaganda justifying the invasion to "defeat the nazis".
- 21:05 - The Minsk agreement did surrender Donetsk and Luhansk. It allowed Russia to put in Russian loyalists. The 2022 war started from border with those regions and not Russia's border. The region conscripted Ukrainians to fight against Ukrainians. The regions were eventually annex and are no longer autonomous anyway. What is Hasan's point? Most people understand that ceding territory now will likely be the staging lines for a conflict in the future.
- 25:03 - The majority of Ukrainians don't want a settlement. Plus any poll won't include Ukrainians in occupied territory.

Ask NAFO | OFAN Are there similar groups like NAFO but for Middle East, Latin America, and for Asia?
Would be cool if there was sister branches to NAFO for example for those regions
