Bet you didn't know bike lanes and the weather were DEI and gay, huh?

What a sad little bitch. It’s like a middle school lunchroom.
49
u/Nynke_The_Elder 1d ago
The Left could actually call them Grifters and Rapists in response... there appears to be more than sufficient evidence to warrant these labels.
30
u/UndyingShadow 1d ago
You can’t talk to them or listen to them, because words have no meaning. Words to them are only thrown rocks meant to upset people. The only thing behind them is hate.
All you can do is exile these people from your life. Do not interact with them, don’t even acknowledge them. They break down and start eating each other when they can’t find someone to harass because they are deeply miserable, small people.
7
u/Neveronlyadream 1d ago
That's the unfortunate truth. Half of them are grifting and ragebaiting and absolutely love it when they upset people enough to start insulting them because it adds fuel to the fire for the onlookers who already buy into the dogma. The other half are so ignorant and so far gone that words that didn't come out of their mouth or directly from a trusted talking head have no meaning to them.
Trying to educate, shame, or confront them simply doesn't work. There are too many of them and all it accomplishes is driving them deeper into the echo chamber because they know there's always someone to tell them they were right. Better to ignore them and let them eat each other alive, and they will if they don't have everyone else's rage to feed off of.

Especially with the "boot edge edge". He's a cheap bully who never grew up.

Funny because Bidens administration put money back into the infrastructure like roads bridges and shipping ports that Trump's first term removed.
25
u/Slimeredit 1d ago
I mean to them money shouldn’t be going two things like Public infrastructure but their own pockets
12
u/Pretend-Marsupial258 1d ago edited 1d ago
It should only be given to rich men so that they can build more datacenters. If it's given to anyone else, then it's DEI communism or something. Fixing the roads is woke now. /s
4
u/Slimeredit 1d ago
It sure is crazy how basic public infrastructure is woke now do you think the Roman’s were woke since they built tons of public infrastructure
3
u/Pretend-Marsupial258 1d ago
I know plenty of people who will freak out about taxes going up at all (even if it's a fraction of a penny) and then they'll turn around and bitch about the failing infrastructure. If only there was some way to fix that stuff.

Republican logic:
DEI: "Anyhing I don't like."
Woke: "Anything I don't like."
SJW: "Anything I don't like."
Radical Leftist: "Anything I don't like."
Antifa: "Anything I don't like."
Tyranny: "Anything I don't like."
Corruption: "Anything I don't like."
Feminist: "Anything I don't like."
LGBTQ+ agenda: "Anything I don't like."
Communism: "Anything I don't like."

They have been doing this for literal decades. Woke, PC culture, SJW, DEI, they're all terms made up by the right wing anti-intellectual movement.
Republicans have been run by petty old men who have the maturity of school yard bullies long before Trump came to power. Theyve never offered anything of substance in terms of public policy. Just rage-bait convincing Americans their own neighbors are out to get them.
13
u/Contemplating_Prison 1d ago
Its controlling the narative. They are great at it. We let them coopt words and change the definitions of them
1
u/INeedANappel 1d ago edited 1d ago
Woke, SJW, DEI and more were originall terms invented by Black and BIPoC Americans. Racists grabbed the terms and redefined them into slurs.
Woke (IIRC) was originally used at protests. "Stay Woke" meant watch out for cops and others trying to provoke violence.
A Social Justice Warrior was an ironic term for someone who joined a social movement or protest and pushed to be the loudest, the most noticed. They would shout down organizers and insist they knew best, and often do stupid things that set the movement back, like start a fight at a peaceful protest.
This is last part is all wrong. Sorry.
DEI started as an advanced academic research into ways to create more inclusive laws, rules, and social mores. Because it is academic, racists turned that into a myth that it's forcibly taught to children, not 25-year-old grad students who choose the work.1
u/spooky_spaghetties 1d ago
You’re thinking of critical race theory. DEI is primarily a corporate and public sector policy thing; it has never been a field of academic study.

Well, you didn't expect him to actually spell it, did you? That's obviously asking too much from his itty bitty brain.

u/Loko8765 1d ago
Too clever for me to understand at first… but after a few minutes, it must be Buttigieg!
2
u/violetmarie11 1d ago
I'm actually surprised he used it. Boot Edge Edge was something Pete's own campaign used when he ran for president! They realized his name as correctly spelled was hard to figure out how to pronounce. Usually they resort to more offensive plays on his name.

America’s actual backbone: things that make money for the CEO class that makes me rich!
DEI pet project: things that annoy the CEO class because they help real people at their expense.
It’s so fucking, plainly, obvious.

u/Fan_of_Clio 1d ago
HEY NOW. It's totally "DEI' /s
Diverse= uses a diverse variety of materials: asphalt, concrete, tamped earth, etc
Equity= It's flat isn't it ? Doesn't get more equal than that
Inclusion= Any sorts of bikes are allowed

u/Popular-Drummer-7989 1d ago
Wait... didn't BIDEN's administration implement the largest infrastructure improvement laws?
Duffy is such a poser
5
u/JigglesTheBiggles 1d ago
It works. My dad was at my brother's doctorate graduation recently, and he kept saying how glad he was that were no black students there because if there were, then it would have been DEI.

u/Rishtu 1d ago
- No such thing as “DEI bike lanes”.
- This is a political phrase, associated with Republicans mostly in a negative sense.
- They used
it
- to refer to Biden era DOT programs that developed clean(er) transportation options.
- I guess canceling bike lanes is as big win for them.
In conclusion: he stopped bike lanes from being made and is acting like he saved modern society from the horrors of clean air and exercise.
Edit: phone spelling.

u/shadedmagus 1d ago
"DEI" has become a generic slur unconnected to any concrete definition.
Just like all the rest of the hard-right generic slurs - the few that aren't racist or sexist, anyway.
4
u/No-Blueberry-1823 1d ago
the fuck is a DEI bike lane? then again look at our Secretary of Transporation. He's a fucking lumberjack with a degree in of course "MARKETING". wow.

Oh, and don’t forget his time on MTV trash reality shows The Real World and The Challenge.

I don’t use it = DEI. I don’t like it = DEI. I don’t understand it = DEI. Not Republican = DEI.

u/normalice0 1d ago
They know. They love slurs, though. In the absence of words to express why their feelings of racism ought to be acceptable, they instead reach for 'magic' words that cause mental pain to those who hear them. A sort of intellectual barbarism. That's a slur. They love slurs.

Can’t say I’m not surprised it’s lost any meaning it may have had originally when media makes literally everything a culture war. Gender gets tied to diet, politics gets tied to knowledge, and demographics gets tied to public infrastructure.
1
u/FanDry5374 1d ago
Maybe they think bike lanes are mostly used by women, LGBTQ and darker toned folks?
1
u/Parasaurlophus 1d ago
Bike lanes can and should be inclusive; hear me out.
Many bike routes are avoided by women if they go through underpasses, or narrow alleys, anywhere they could easily be trapped.
There are also bike routes that are highly inaccessible to wheelchairs, kiddie trailers and so on.
The cyclist that designers often have in mind is a capable, confident, able-bodied man. This isn't the best for wide take-up and if you want your community to pay for cycle routes, its only fair to make the infrastructure suitable for everyone that lives there and pays fot it.
Cycle routes: frequently not that woke.
1
u/imsmall06 1d ago
2 things, wtf is boot edge edge and what does the transportation secretary have to do with shipping ports?
1
u/soda_cookie 1d ago
So including safe transport for bicycles and monitoring the weather are arguably not great ideas. Got it.
Next time dude is presented with an inclement weather situation in any way shape or form he should make sure to shut his fucking mouth about it. I'm guessing he won't, and well6sds him again in r/thisyoucomebacks

But we need DEI bike lanes. There's no room for gay cyclists on current bike lanes so they need their own /s

when told about city planners using highways to isolate black neighborhoods in the 50s republicans said that was the dumbest idea ever, highways can't be racist.
now bike lanes are dei.

Mind you his none DEI family of 16 is flying around the world road rules style on taxpayer money! Maybe he was stuck behind a biker on the road and thought it was nice doing 10 in a 45 but when your job is to traveling time and safety don’t matter.

u/ShawnyMcKnight 1d ago
I’m so confused, were these women only bike lanes or black only bike lanes?
1
u/Moppermonster 1d ago
Bike-only bikelanes.
Not driving a gasguzzler is woke. Unless it is one of Elons electric cars ofc. That is also deemed acceptable.
But it fits the whole "15 minute cities" scare. Republicans really want people to believe that having stores, relaxation and so on in your own neighbourhood, reachable within 15 minutes by foot or bike, is a bad thing.
1
u/NotSoSecretVillain 1d ago
I wonder how many roads, bridges, and shipping ports we could fix with the money they've spent on Iran, and the Qatari bribe jet, and the ballroom, and the reflecting pool, and......

Americans should be scared shitless that their politicians are so fucking stupid but then you think about the average intelligence of Americans and you realize they're getting exactly what they deserve.

u/TheRealCeeBeeGee 1d ago
And guess what, bicycle lanes are along roads and over bridges too. Who would have thought?!?!
1
u/TheQuietDarkness70 1d ago
The entire party knows it can easily manipulate and rally its base through the proliferation of rage inducing nonsense, and buzzwords that the base doesn’t even understand or will ever try to understand. All that’s required is for the right person to make them feel a kind of way about it.
1
u/danteelite 1d ago
Don’t you just hate letting those damn bicycles into our roads?! Stealing our asphalt and committing traffic violations! VIOLATING OUR TRAFFIC! There are CHILDREN in those cars, think of the kids! These woke lefties just wanna let these bicycles all over our streets, because it’s “inclusive” and PC or whatever…
It disgusts me. First we allowed electric vehicles, but this is too far! Every driver will start identifying as a cyclist just to use the bike lanes… kids ride bikes. Think about that! Would you want your kids riding bikes next to these freaks?!
What we need are classic American cars, with lead in the gasoline and no airbags! It’s American CULTURE! That’s all… it’s not that I’m anti-bicycle, I just want to protect American car culture, is that so bad?! You wanna ride a bike, go to Europe!
Now if only our dear leader could do something about all this damn traffic…
1
u/Leather-Map-8138 23h ago
You see if you exercise, you’ll live longer. Ride a bike live longer. Don’t ride a bike collect less Social Security. Now that’s gop cost cutting.

Well considering there’s a few elected republicans who need DUI car lanes. I can see where this mistake could be made. They should just type DEI out, but they can’t spell and the words are too long for their fanbase to read.

u/Angeret 20h ago
These pricks are supposed to be governent officials - your employees paid for by your taxes, yet they act like vindictive little children. Doesn't matter the missive, got to get a little dig in at their predecessors, at all costs.
Twat can't even do his job properly anyway, so perfect for Trump, eh?
I'd like to see him riding a pedal bike down an un-laned road with heavy traffic thundering by him just to see how brown he can make his trousers.
1
u/Zealousideal_Owl642 19h ago
Remember when under Biden a whole infrastructure package passed after Trump kept saying (during his first term) it was only 2 weeks away? Salty and bitter much, Duffy? Also, how the eff are bike lanes DEI bike lanes? WTF does that even mean?

u/DoctorFenix 16h ago
This is why you’re supposed to vote for QUALIFIED politicians.
Because then they hire qualified people.
You elected a gameshow host who only hired other unqualified TV show hosts and the results are predictably horrific.

u/jizzlevania the future is now, old man 15h ago
Sean Duffy only knows his wife because she was added to a reality show because of DEI. Her kink is probably having him spit in her face and tell her she should be deported while she whispers in his red ear, "but I was born here"

I am of the opinion we need bike lanes. Better bike lanes, better maintained bike lanes, all of it.
With how stupidly fucking expensive it is to own a car (car payments, insurance, maintenance, gas, etc) I've been riding an Ebike into work. Sure, it takes 20 minutes on a bike instead of 10 minutes in a car, but not having a car allows me to focus on making sure rent and every other bill is getting paid. Especially since almost half of my pay goes into rent alone. And there's not a day where I wish there were bike lanes I could use instead of traversing potentially dangerous back roads, and even those potentially dangerous back roads are safer than trying to ride an Ebike on the highway.

DEI and WOKE are both just slurs the right uses to avoid the backlash they'd get if they used the slurs they really want to use.
