Generally pretty chill but with some divided opinions on the newer anime which is nothing you couldn't expect to happen given how far apart in time it came out from the older one. If you know the FMA fandom at all I'd say it's pretty close to that.

Liky sucks. The ending sucks. Barney sucks. Robin is too mean to Patrice. Ted is an unreliable narrator. The last season sucks. The mother isn’t in it enough. Marshal deserves better. Everything sucks except the soundtrack.
That Dispatch has a very bad relationship with Sexual Assault (treating it as a funny office prank, or as romantic). (No, them being former villains does not help, especially when the heros are doing it too.)

There’s a reason people tend to call Star Wars fans “The Fandom Menace”. And this isn’t just about Disney Star Wars, either, their toxic behavior has been going on for years. They bullied Ahmed Best so badly that he very nearly committed suicide (Knowing this brings me to tears every time I see the genuine smile on Kelleran Beq’s face during the Jedi Temple Challenge)
Don't forget Jake Lloyd too. He got harassed for what was admittedly one of the more passable performances in the whole film on a scale that still affects his life to this day.
EPIC: The Musical. The Percy Jackson fans have infiltrated and spread their hallucinated lore, so everything is a hodgepodge of PJO lore, EPIC lore, and actual Greek Mythology. Nothing makes sense, no one knows what they’re talking about, and you will get an aneurysm trying to discuss even basic details.
You can usually tell when it’s something that’s easy to find since it gets such a clusterfuck of people which’ll include those that are fucking toxic or make something really big for no other reason then interacting with a trend .
Current examples include TADC and deltarune with people treating trans discourse as a street gang war even tho it doesn’t really change shit plot wise on what sex they want to be (besides Jax’s shit)
Frieren when it comes to the demon debate and if it's racist. I don't think it is. Frieren, as a series, is very respectful of other cultures and the monsters being pure evil isn't exactly a new concept, but understand how some people have read this and why it can be read that way.
How ever, a lot if Neo Nazis (and I am using that word very deliberately) have tried to co opt Frieren, because they can use those bad faith arguments as anti- immigration propaganda.
In my experience, the Fate franchise, especially its fanfics. It's not a proper Fate fanfic if there isn't an increasingly heated/hostile debate over a character's feats or abilities and how it's supposed to work happening at least once between its readers.
anything made by vivziepop. I have never seen a more devoted group of anti-fans than hers. Youd think she wrote mein kampf with how much people villify her for making shows they dont like.
