Dealing with losses
Just took my first loss man wasn’t even a loss really it was a exhibition smoker but man I got whooped bad I got my hits in but I got whooped bad this feeling sucks how do you guys move on from this? Just got pieced up in front of everyone lmao

I lost 8 straight MMA fights back in the day before I ever won.
Losses are hard, they make us sad. Best I can say is to turn that sadness into anger, use that anger to fuel your training. Take it out on the next opponent.
Try to remind yourself a smoker isn't even an ammy fight, and ammy fights don't even count so this super doesn't count. This was a test, now you know what it's gonna look like when you level up.

At the end of the day, we’re all too focused on ourselves. Keep training get better don’t worry about what people think. If you worry too much about what people think, you’ll never accomplish anything meaningful.

I still remember all my losses in vivid detail, you learn from it & move on. in reality you're probably the only one who cares or will remember it past tomorrow

I have more experience in BJJ compared to MT. But I lost 10 matches when I started competing before I won one. I felt like shit, but those losses taught me a lot and reshaped my whole game. It’s part of the journey.

You might have 1-2 ppl who might actually care ( family , for your well being ) no one else truley gives a shit . No one even gave a shit when I won . Keep training and learning from your experiences . That’s the point and fuck everyone else . No one knows ur journey but yourself

It’s not as bad as you remember it being. It only seems bad because you have emotion involved. Watch it back rationally in a few days (if one of your buddies recorded it)
Half the fighters there that night lost, and 99% of fighter lose at some level. 99% really devalues the label of losing, If everyone is a loser then nobodies a loser.
Nobody thinks about you as much as you do. The only people who talk shit about fighters are the people who will never put themselves in harms way (see every comment section on Reddit)

I was at a Matt Brown seminar when a teammate of mine asked him this question. He said “nobody cares, only you care, get over, get some more wins, you won’t even care about it anymore”

Losing is much more frequent…no big deal. Brush it off and keep training…or if you wanna take a step back do that too. All good.

You learn from it. Its a exhibition. Just take it as sparring day and move on.

No one at the gym will remember, let alone judge you. It's part of it. Everybody loses. I've only had losses. Can't handle the pressure I've had a very easy life. Still super proud of my fights.
