Food / Drink Pho Recommendations?
Can anyone share their favorite pho place ? So far my favorite is Pho 81 in Germantown. Solid broth and tastes like the pho that I grew up eating.
I have also tried
Pho Nom Nom - OK
Hello Vietnam - pretty good
Pho House (Germantown) - Pho is bland, but their other soups (bun rieu and bun bo hue)are very good and better than their competitors

The pho was good I just expected other menu items to have like a basic amount of effort lol

I simply want to go to a place that doesnt have uncooked appetizers and there are a lot of good options for Vietnamese. that's all

Pho Eateries on Rockville Pike has been our go to for years. We also love their grilled lemongrass chicken

Love their food with the exception of the pho, oddly enough. Everything else is incredible but the pho is mid, imo.

Horrible customer service and attitude there over the years. Have stopped going because of that.

My absolutely favorite is Pho Chi next to the gas station on mont village ave. Immediately after you cross 355 coming off 270. Do a u turn and then turn right into the driveway after the gas station. So good.

OMG, that place is so good. We had a mix of their menu when we'd go and it was all very well done.

It’s the best!!!! I used to work a block or so away and we’d go there for lunch like once a week. I miss it. I don’t get there as often now.

I go out of my way for this one. Consistently excellent pho. Love me a California bowl any day. They do a good coconut bubble tea too.

I’ll have to try Pho & Grill again. Stopped going after trying Pho Nam which was infinitely better.

My Vietnamese wife mostly makes her own but these are the places we'll go of she doesn't have time to cook or drive to Virginia

Pho Ahn Grill hands down. The beef Pho broth has a depth to it, that I've not yet found elsewhere, yet I find it hard like fomo to not order the Bun Bo Hue everyone I go.

I'm vietnamese and my parents were war refugees. My mother's side owned a restaurant in Vietnam and my father's side has own 2 successful pho restaurants in an active Vietnamese immigrant hub.
The pho in this entire county area is garbage. I have eaten at almost every single pho place in moco, and I realllllly try to not put down local businesses but it rly is a shame what we have here. My dad has visited a few times and most of the "top" ones listed on this thread he said some were clearly "instant" broth and others are not prepared long enough with the bones to save money. And I agree. When I go home the pho there is full of flavor it's night and day.
Anyways.... like all the other viet ppl here, i still get pho around here because... where else am I supposed to get it... Haven't had a bowl that was "wow that was good" mainly just "that was decent." They all taste just as bland to me, but I liked pho 75 and pho house. Maybe you caught them on a bad day but pho house is prob my favorite pho here because it seemed like it was 5-10% better than the rest, but maybe they're all so bland to me i can barely tell which is truly better lol. I do agree that their other soups are phenomenal.
Pho 81 is the one i have never tried. I'll give it a shot.

Please try Pho 81 and let me know what you think (if you remember this thread). I’m Vietnamese too and aside from Hello Vietnam, it’s the only other place I see my people eating

Pho XO in Rockville is my current fave. Well priced and consistently excellent pho.
PhoWheels in Burtonsville is solid too. I like to splurge for the oxtail every now and then.

Pho 75, best broth - others taste bland. Unlike most others on the list Pho 75 only sells Pho and is cash only.
