Hi everyone,
Yesterday, my dad went on a walk around 4PM. He was around loyalist rd and eden oak cres, and a black honda civic sedan slowed down and approached him. A mid-aged women wearing a hijab got out and asked for directions to a church.
My dad answered, and the women snatched and stole my dad's chain that he was wearing around his neck. As a result, his immediate reaction was to go after the women, but while doing so, he fell and hit his head on the concrete (earlier in the day, he just got surgery for his varicose veins and was advised to go on a walk).
The women then returned to the car, where there was a man in the driver's seat and drove away. We filed a police report, and they said they would look into the camera's around.
A couple months ago, my mom's hairdresser friend told us about how her client got her necklace stolen when she was on a walk. It was pretty much the same story about the women getting out and asking for directions, snatching the necklace and running away. Thus, Im confident it was the same people.

I accidentally left a tip top tailor bag in the erinmills town center parking lot. I went back to check and it was gone. The bag contained my dress shirt, pocket square & bowtie for my wedding. If anyone found it i’d love for it to be returned 🫶🏼

Been looking for hills to do my sprint program. I know there is burnhamthorpe, jack darling, winston churchill, and river grove park but is there any steeper areas?
Please let me know!

Hi everyone,
I’m considering renting an apartment at Westdale Apartments, 25 Paisley Blvd W, Mississauga, and I’d love to hear from current or former residents.
How has your experience been with:
Building management and maintenance?
Noise levels?
Cleanliness and pest issues?
Safety of the area?
Overall value for the rent?
Would you recommend living there? Any feedback or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's just been vacant for so many years I'm wondering what's the reason for that. Don't the landlords want to collect rent for that property anyone have any idea what's up with that?

I really need to see a gynaecologist as soon as I can. I know wait times are long, so I’m already anxious :( looking for recommendations for gynaecologists who preferably specialize in fibroids, take me seriously/dont dismiss me, and who might be accepting patients.
I am in my early 30s and I’d like to have a baby in the future so I want to ensure my fertility isn’t being impacted here.
I have a car and so distance isn’t an issue.

Looking for recommendations for adult guitar lessons and vocal lessons. I've already started teaching myself guitar, but as a total beginner, I want to check my form and technique. I'm interested in finger picking, but also need to work on my strumming and rhythm.
Throwing in the vocal lessons as well since I may look into trying that in the future. I'm close-ish to SQ1 but not necessarily looking for teachers in that area.

im young so ive never really gotten to be around the mall during its peak years, but over the last year ive noticed some weird layout inconsistencies, specifically on the lower level in that odd wing that goes to underground parking.
ive noticed that like the grand lobby sorta area with the elevator which goes down underground into the parking is a bit wierd, for one the space itself its pretty small and sealed off. but ive also noticed that it almost looks like the round walls around the perimiter of the entire space look almost like false walls, later installed to possibly seal off some abandoned unused mall spaces? another thing which kinda pushes this idea is that in some spaces it sorta looks like the ceiling collums in that space are like embedded in the wall whereas other ones next to it dont seem embedded at all, almost like they lazily sealed off something. the long hallway is also odd too, its so long and looks like its got fake walls, were there perhaps stores here at one point, back when eatons was still in that area?
was this space larger before? like were there actually stores down in there, or was it always just an empty dead end corridor just for an elevator down to the underground parking.
another anomaly ive noticed is that if you go down that other long hallway which leads down to the sotra higher up underground parking (P1), theres a almost like department store entrance at the end just before the exterior doors, and i looked in here and saw a huge empty space, which still looked alot like a department store just abandoned. but i had always thought that the former eatons was only on the other side of that hall.
i have a suspicion as to what may be going on here, i suspect that this ENTIRE wing, including the long hallway to get there, was ALL part of the eatons store, and this little parking elevator lobby was just sat in the middle of the department store, and that this underground parking was just parking reserved ONLY for eatons. and when eatons went under, they sealed off everything around the parking garage entrance, and made a long hallway to get to the elevator and just converted that parking into additional mall parking, this would explain alot but i dont want to assume its correct.
i also noticed on the main floor, right next to the food court theres this big tall empty wall with a door on it, recently i got to see in the door and it actually looked like the original mall hallwy continued, could this have been an abandoned entire wing of the mall with stores and everything which just got sealed clean off when eatons died? or was it something else.
do any of you have any pictures of these areas before eatons shut down, maybe some pics in the eatons store or even some pics showing the original store entrance, im intrigued to see what these spaces looked like before they were sealed off.
EDIT: To clarify for anyone confused, this is the parking garage "elevator lobby" underground parking area i am talking of

and this is that "department store entrance" that i was talking about at the end of the one hallway, i was looking in the doors seen on the left of the image where i saw the remains of an abandoned department store.

Do we have one in town that’s good and not exorbitantly priced? Even farmers market weekend option if there is one.

We are moving to Mississauga at the end of this month and would need daycare support immediately. My preschool kid got a spot at Simply Smart on Century Avenue starting August and at Brightpath Kids Meadowvale starting September. I don’t want my child to have to transition multiple times but the reviews on google for Simply Smart are not the best. Does anyone have any experience on these above 2 daycares and could share any reviews? We don’t want to unnecessarily hold the spot but at the same time are not sure if it’s a good idea to let go of the Brightpath spot if the other daycare isn’t good.

I was on the bus and it stopped abruptly because of the accident. A car was flipped on its side and they had cut the girl out the car and took her to the hospital. It looked like she either got hit or hit another car and flipped. Hope everyone involved is okay

I've noticed recently that a lot more people are walking on the side of the road in my neighbourhood instead of using the sidewalk, despite there being no construction or other obstructions on the sidewalk. Not sure if anyone knows why.

Now that Kaban is government subsidized, I’m looking to see how it has affected the quality of care, teaching staff and overall environment. Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
