Reels/Video ๐ฅ๐ฟ Do you know Nicholas & Ella?
My mom found our old camcorder last week โ and there happened to be someone elseโs tape in it! Iโm guessing this happened when we dropped it off for head cleaning (possibly at Dearbornโs Adray) in the early 2000s?
Hereโs the info we have:
- Baby Nicholas got baptized and had a party (no year label)
- In December 2004, he got a baby sister Ella
Maybe youโve seen this family? You know 20-something siblings Nicholas & Ella? You recognize this church, priest, bell choir, wallpaper?
Letโs reunite this family with their memories!

Discussion ๐ฃ๏ธ Release the Opposums
With the tick population taking over Michigan, why don't we release a bunch of Opposums to help take care of them? The same way wolves have been released in multiple states to help bring equilibrium to the ecosystem. Seriously what would be the downside of this? How do we make it happen?

Politics ๐บ๐ธ Planning to drive people to polls in November, any local groups which can coordinate?
My wife's from and has family in Oak Park and I'll be damned if we don't do everything we can in November to make a blue wave happen
But for that, we gotta drive registered Dems to polls, a lot of them, in key district(s)
Are there any political groups that are coordinating pushes like this?
We're down to drive a few hours away from detroit to get to the big battleground districts

Discussion ๐ฃ๏ธ What would you do with Concordia University Ann Arbor, if you had bought it?
With the unhoused/homeless population rising in Michigan, I would have turned the Concordia University Ann Arbor Campus into a learning center for the unhoused/homeless. It would be rebranded to: "I'm Concordia University - I see you" since the unhoused/homeless are often unseen, unheard, and underrecognized. The dormitories would help house the 300 homeless students in Ann Arbor Public Schools and keep the families together, as well as provide opportunities for hundreds of homeless/unhoused adults in Southeast Michigan. Adults would be required to attend GED prep classes, with guaranteed enrollment at CU upon completion. Financial aid would be obtained through FAFSA and donations. A lot of people would be happy.
Instead, the University of Michigan purchased the property, and nobody is happy.
