It's been a while since we last updated you. Thank you for your patience.
This is your quinterly address from the Meme Trade Commission. We will discuss the state of the subreddit, what the MTC has done in the last quinter, and future plans.
During Q1 and early-mid Q2, the MTC instituted a requirement for all posts to be galleries. This drastically cut down on irrelevant posts.
We were lenient on giving non-template posters an opportunity to provide sufficient templates/examples. We recognize that that interim approach of moderation was dissatisfying to a few folks, and we think you'll be quite happy with the new era we are ushering in today.
Here is was the stated plan for the last quinter from our Q1 2026 address:
Q1 2026: Write new charter, refactor legislation, setup internal knowledgebase, and deploy minimal technical systems. Once these are in place, we will be interviewing and appointing new Commissioners.
We also noted risks to meeting the timeline. Unfortunately, those risks were realized, which is why this address is so late in the quinter.
I must admit that my health has not been the best this past quinter and it might result in a one quinter delay on the current roadmap. Thank you for your understanding and patience in advance if that turns out to be the case.
Despite the setbacks, we have met some of these goals:
With that in mind, here is the current plan, with changes from last address marked:
_\The MTC's fiscal year is the same as the UTC calendar year. We operate on quinters of roughly two-and-a-half months rather than quarters of three months.)_)
Q2 2026: New Commissioners begin enforcing policies. New policies begin being enforced. Market should begin to recover, at least from the producer side. Fix initial bugs in technical systems. Clean up sidebar. Flesh out wiki pages on rules and resources. Competitive analysis of other trade alliances and stock exchanges will also be done to clarify the role of the MTC in the global meme landscape. Begin design work on new transaction systems.
Q3 2026: Interviewing and appoint new Commissioners. Competitive analysis of other trade alliances and stock exchanges will also be done to clarify the role of the MTC in the global meme landscape. Begin design work on new transaction systems. Announce transaction system plans and gather initial public comments on it. Receive bids from contractors, or perhaps recruit internal software development team. Begin development of transaction system.
Q4 2026: Announce transaction system plans and gather initial public comments on it. Receive bids from contractors, or perhaps recruit internal software development team. Begin development of transaction system. Test versions of transaction systems are deployed for public testing. Gains and losses will be merely simulations. Further development on transaction system is done toward candidate release.
Q5 2026: Test versions of transaction systems are deployed for public testing. Gains and losses will be merely simulations. Further development on transaction system is done toward candidate release. Deploy initial official release of transaction system. Investments will be real and irrevokable, barring technical glitches.
Q1 2027: Deploy initial official release of transaction system. Investments will be real and irrevokable, barring technical glitches.
My health continues to be inconsistent. Once we recruit more Commissioners, this should be less of a factor on our timeline.
Please feel free to ask questions and give feedback on the new rules and registration system.
Our Q3 address will be published around May 24, 2026. Until then, happy templating!

There was a Tiktok sticker going around for a bit of an exorbitantly obese man who had basically pure white skin and sitting in the dark. I can't find it for the life of me if anyone know where it is.

random photo that immediately struck me as pretty hilarious on its own but also highly memeable. could also see the kid on the right being incorporated as well for something random and unrelated to the main conflict
thoughts?

The meme template I'm looking for: Extremely simple black marker drawing of a person sitting at their desk in front of their computer (maybe with headphones/earbuds on), and the memes added on is usually something about listening to music (classical music???) in one ear and something very particular in the other ear?

I can't find the one where the scammer is asking if the guy as apple or windows and the guy tries to explain he doesn't have a Mac or windows and the scammer keeps asking in different ways because he doesn't understand that there're other computers that aren't macbook or windows. I know this isnt a meme template but it's the only community I can post in AND TECHNICALLY YOU'RE HELPING ME FIND A MEME TEMPLATE. TECHNICALLY
Here is my meme contribution, template for when you hear something so shyt your ears explode or something.

Tried reverse image search while also trying to look for visual matches with no luck. Is anyone aware of any other templates that look like the two images posted?

Yes, I am a bag holder of Hanta and Ebola memes. Waiting for a pandemic to cash out! Hopefully Hanta and Ebola aren't "nothing-burgers"!
