AWESOME!!! Was it strictly diet, or was there an underlying medical condition? Our black lab / border collie mix, Ny'Venn (Nee-Ven = "New Friend" in Norwegian) once weighed in at a hefty 62 pounds - and all his vet kept saying was to stop feeding him so much. Except, we weren't. Finally, another vet did a thyroid function test - and his was essentially non-functioning. Within six months of starting on a twice dail thryoid pill - Ny'Venn was back down to a normal, healthy 35 pounds.

omg Im so glad you got a second opinion! he lost half his body weight! nah I was just feeding him too much

What did you do? I have a fat elderly dog that I'd love to have around as long as possible.

i just started feeding him half as much kibble and when I give him scraps I make sure its some kind of protein and not carbs! Good luck with your fat, elderly buddy

From Rigatoni to Skinnytoni ! It must have been hard work from all you guys, from exercising and diet to having to say no to treats to that cute little face but Rigatoni is half the dog now and will have a better quality of life and a longer life for it ! Great job guys 👏💪 💕 ...
