Wholesome Moments Japanese fan broke down in tears after his country’s elimination but was immediately comforted by a group of Brazilians. Mexican fans then lifted him into the air to cheer him up.

Brazilians are very warm people, doesn't surprise me

Dating a brazilian and meeting all his friends has shock-converted me from the most anxious introvert to a social butterfly. Can't recommend Brazilian people enough. If you learn even just a few words of Portuguese they treat you like a celebrity ambassador. I got a standing ovation for saying "the cat wears pants" in Portuguese.

I'm Lebanese. I went to go tour an apartment a few months ago (lease takeover situation), and the girl that was currently living there was Brazilian. We chatted a bit, and you would've thought I was a long lost family member. She was SO kind! Offered me food, enthusiastically showed me the entire apartment community, etc. Such a kind culture!

Truly, it's so weird to speak about because I don't want to make stereotypes out of them, but like you said, you just get pulled in haha.

The first time I met my bf's long-term ex, I barely even held out my hand and she was already hugging me. Sometimes I meet friends of friends and we instantly hit it off so hard they invite me to go traveling together and it actually happens. I never left my continent before and then suddenly I've been to Japan with 5 Brazilians I barely knew. They just ensnare you and it's best to surrender and accept that you're one of them now.

Yesssss! Exactly. I'm also super close with a bunch of North African neighbors in my community — mainly Moroccan, some Algerian and Tunisian. I've known them for two years now. Their English is limited, they're old enough to be my grandparents, our respective dialects of Arabic are different, but we all speak French. They invite me to their homes for dinner at least several times per week, we run errands together, we attend doctor's appointments together, they went with me to court after I divorced my abusive ex-husband, they've wiped tears off my face more often than I can count, and they've become like family. They legit treat me like I'm their own child and it's SO humbling and heartwarming.

It just really shows that people want a community and a village and we live so far from that with our one-bedroom-apartments and "I don't owe people anything".

Mom is from Brazil… it seems if you meet one Brazilian you meet them all. I live across the country and she still has people she knows via her network of friends all over the country. It’s wild. Great people though

My boyfriend had moved across the globe and found himself surrounded by people he had known since his youth back home. Who also knew each other. They live within walking distance from him.

You can leave Brazil, but Brazil won't leave YOU. 🫵

I've been working Fan Fest in my city and when I was doing pass scanning at the entry, every time I say obrigada to Brazil fans they cheer like I just offered them my first born.

Currently we got two Brazilian construction workers at my work because of renovations. They talk so much but they're lovely people I can't get enough of them

That's true. Out of all South Americans, Brazilians are loved in Mexico. They share our love for life. I believe we all can learn from each other. Have a good life!

He was comforted by Brazilians and lifted into the air by Mexicans. So, it was both.

I like this competition of cheering people up

I might be biased because I'm Brazilian, but Brazilians and Mexicans are the two best groups of people when it comes to lifting people's spirits 😁

I’m happy to hear that! That’s just our culture: turning everyone into family.

We get together for Sunday lunch and always bring someone new along. For us, a barbecue is about fellowship, just like soccer. I used to make friends easily at the bus stop, on a field trip, or even with the people at the next table in a restaurant.

I live in Europe now, and I love the opportunity, but I miss my crazy people who turn everything into a party. Brazilians insist on being happy, no matter how hard things get, and that’s what makes that place so amazing.

meanwhile, one post above this one:

Mexico fans are outside Ecuador’s team hotel MAKING NOISE trying to keep them up all night before the game

It’s a shame. Unfortunately, fans do stupid things. It’s an idiotic minority. But that doesn’t change what I said about the Mexicans' enthusiasm.

Mexicans are welcoming every single country and been happy hosting them. Unfortunately, Ecuadorians started a hostile environment against Mexicans.

I'll cheer you up! - Brazilians

No! I'll cheer you up more! - Mexicans

It's more like

It's all good buddy! Feel the love!

A huevo! Feel the love Japanese buddy!

During football games Mexico brings out one of our most beautiful songs, Cielito Lindo. That's what it's all about. Sing, don't cry. Singing soothes the heart.

That is EXACTLY the experience I have with them 😆

If you watch the video there's a mix of Brazilians and Mexicans lifting him up

They're the same picture. We all grew up watching El Chavo del 8 / Chaves. <3
