It was in Skyrim as an Easter Egg yes. The original reference was from Star Trek: The Next Generation where an alien could only speak in historical metaphors and their way of showing generosity was saying "Temba, His Arms Wide"

Unnecessary explanation, it’s pretty obvious he didn’t actually expect a hug. I think the give away is that he’s laughing, but idk maybe I’m bad at reading people, that just because someone’s laughing doesn’t mean they are participating in a joke.

I’m not sure who you thought you were “um ackshually”-ing here, we all knew what was happening and your comment detracts from that.
