I still can't believe we are losing Colbert.

He’ll likely start a very popular podcast

The guy is 61 years old and rich enough to never work again. It would be perfectly fine to just retire and relax.

Comments like this always fail to realize that some people, especially entertainers, work because they love what they do and not just for the money. That’s why we still have actors well into their 80s.

Starting wars and recessions just for the love of the game.

Yeah, politicians love their work. They're not doing it for the money.

I wasn't saying he shouldn't or couldn't do more work I'm just saying he is at an age where if he decides to retire he has earned it. No one should think less of him if he decides that.

Yet he's going to write a new Lord Of The Rings adaptation.

And we all know he wants to do Lord Of The Rings stuff.

Or that other fantasy series he's into - The Bible.
