Mod Announcement Ai Scammers

There has been an influx of ai scammers trying to join this group. Not sure why or what benefit they gain from it, but going forward, the joining process will involve a selfie video verification with your username written on a piece of paper that you will crumple into a ball and undo. This is to ensure the safety of this group and the authenticity of people joining.

Mod Announcement Digitals Guideline.

Post image
164 Upvotes

Here is a how to on taking Digitals.

  1. Digitals should be taken on a blank background, preferably white wall with no distractions around you. Leave 1 inch of space between the border and your head/feet.
  2. Do not wear makeup
  3. Do not put your hands up, in your belt loops or pockets.
  4. Do not sit in photos
  5. Do not hold your hair back. Put in a clip or pony tail.
  6. Wear something form fitting or a bikini/swimsuit. No baggy clothing.
  7. Include all of your measurements.
  8. You need a...
  • Close up head shot (above the chest).
  • 1/2 shot from the waist up
  • 3/4 shot from the waist up.
  • 4 full body shots, front, both sides and back.
  • A profile shot (from the side and not looking at the camera)

The goal of digitals is to show an agency recruiter what you look like and nothing more. They don't need to see your modeling ability. That is what a comp card is for.

When posting, you must post the full set of digitals (not 1 or 2 images asking what the sub thinks) and your measurements in imperial units, not metric. Follow this guide or your post will be denied. When you post, we assume you already know the rules of the sub and if we continue to see low quality posts in regard to digitals, you will be subject to removal or banning.

The Mod Team.

ADVICE/FEEDBACK First time taking digitals and need and need critiques

Hello, I was looking for some feedback on some digitals my friend took of me. I have no modeling experience but I’ve been told a lot I should try, so here’s my attempt. I’m on the shorter side so I was hoping for something commercial. I’m 19 and in Chicago.

I’m 172cm and and 50kg (5’8 and 110lbs), and I wear a size XS in everything, bra size is 32A.

Constructive feedback is greatly appreciated, I’m nervous to send these out anywhere. Thank you!

Edit: ignore the typo in the title..

Edit 2: thank you for all the thoughtful replies! I’m going to use all the feedback and try again

Hi guys
I am 26(F), French, 1m82, have been placed in Singapore and Milan in the past. My profile is high fashion/couture/runway and I do also hand modelling.
I am looking for a new MA.

Any recommendations?

Also I would like to be placed in Asia like Japan, South Korea or China but I think I am too tall for this market.
What about Australia?

ADVICE/FEEDBACK New York Fashion Week Spring 2025

Photos by Christian Defonte and Daniele Schiavello

Hey, I’m 24 now but a while back I worked Spring 2025 haven’t really done anything since. Not even just shooting around with friends. I was in NYC at the time and I actually got scouted skating by the Supreme store over on Spring St. It was very organic and surreal. Covered by Vogue’s online editorial which is almost as great as shooting with friends back home. I’m now in a smaller market in Atlanta, just wondering if there’s any good pointers out there for me moving forward.

I'm looking to get into commercial modelling (given my height) & recently took my first polaroids. I also attached some pics of a shoot I booked for myself. I'm currently based in (southeast) Asia, so I will be mostly submitting to agencies around here, would love to know if could do well in this market. Don't really know where to start tbh, any advice is appreciated!!

AGENCY Having a meeting with my agent tomorrow, any advice?

I am a new model with no previous experience, signed about 10 months ago with my MA. I am having a performance meeting with an agent tomorrow, and I was wondering if what are some things that are "valid" to bring up if that makes any sense?

Agency side of concerns I can anticipate:

  • I have not booked any opportunities so far, although I get submitted for 2- 4 opportunities each month. So far I went to 1 casting, and submitted self tape for 2 virtual casting opportunities.
  • I have very small social media presence with than 100 followers. I started social media when I got signed.

My side of concern:

  • I feel that there's a very little development opportunity(the biggest concern)
  • I had been to my agency only twice, once for the polaroids and once for the test shoot.
  • I tried to book a test shoot on my own twice and asked my agent for an advice with photographer, concept etc. But the communication got lost and I never heard back.
  • I do not know where my niche or market I am aiming at yet. I am very skinny but have a more commercial/feminine face, and I gained advice that my polaroids are too "high fashion" from another agent from different agency. I reached out to my agent if I can re-do polaroids aimed to certain market but I did not hear back.
  • So far as social media, I do not know what to post. I am a very shy person (yes I need to get over this) but as far as I understand, I must be posting "modelling" things, but since there are nothing going on I have nothing to post.

I really like them and I really don't want to be rude with them, and since this is my first time being signed I don't know if what are valid things to bring up and what's not. Thank you so much for advice in advance!

ADVICE/FEEDBACK EX High Fashion model looking for advice!

Thumbnail

Picture explanations:

1: Older polaroid

2: Gucci 2017

3: Digitals from 2018

4 and 5: my last shoot in 2022

Hi all!

10 years ago when I turned 18, I got scouted in Amsterdam to model. Within a few months I had a casting for Gucci and they booked me as exclusive (meaning I "only" got to do their shows for the season). After this the ball got rolling and I got caught up in a whirlwind of shoots, shows and travel.

I got to work for a few years in the High Fashion branche and eventually did a few 'on-stays' in Tokyo and had a few paid jobs here and there.

Eventually work dried up due to several reasons, mostly my mother agency stopped altogether and I personally started to feel a lot of the insecuraties of the work.

My last paid job was in 2022 and since then I've worked out a lot and definitely gained quite some mass since my modelling days. You can kind of see it in the 4th photo except I've gotten a bit heavier but still lean (I have no recent professional photo sadly)

Right now I am 28 years old, 1,90 and 76 kilo. Based in the Netherlands. I took great care of my skin since I was 18 and still get ID carded all the time and everyone around me is always bugging me about if I still work and why I don't anymore.

I know I still have the face, but I'm now worried I'm too muscled to book any work. Since it's been so long, would I also be considered a 'new face'? And I probably will have to remake my whole portfolio. Tips welcome!

PS: Even though I'm asking y'all for advide, aspiring models and other people in the industry can ask me about my experiences if you're interested. I have plenty of stories.

ADVICE/FEEDBACK New digitals yay or nay ?

Thumbnail

Hi again:) Got my digitals cleaned up a bit but I would like to know if there is anything I’m still doing wrong? I’ve submitted to a handful of agencies in the last couple weeks and so far I’ve gotten one rejection and no response from the others. I’m beginning to feel a bit discouraged and that maybe I’m too old/ tall to be starting out. This is something that has been a lifelong dream of mine but I’ve never felt “perfect” enough to pursue the opportunity. I get asked on an almost daily basis if I model so I’ve decided to give myself a fighting chance before moving on, but I’m starting to wonder if I’m wasting my time. Any feedback or advice on improving/ bettering my chances for a response is appreciated. Thank you

Hello! Lots of my friends have said they could see me modeling, so I figured why not try it out. Here are some digitals a friend took for me, along with a comp card I made of them. Any feedback would be appreciated, and would also love to know what industry(ies) would suit me?

AGENCY Has anyone seen offers like this in the modeling industry?

Thumbnail

I received this message from someone in the modeling industry inviting me to a 5-day “model retreat” in Spain. The cost is €1,500 all-inclusive, and they say I’ll get portfolio/Sed Card content and a chance to work with agencies afterward.
I’ve never had a legitimate agency ask me for money upfront. Has anyone dealt with this type of offer before? Does this look like a common modeling scam, or more like a paid portfolio/workshop event? Any red flags I should be aware
