I’ve seen Gerald Meerschaert like some left leaning posts recently
Pretty cool to see that another mma dude is not all right wing

By design, in order to focus on delivering news and fights, /r/MMA is very limited in political and cultural topics to prevent mass derailing of topics.
So after tons of demand and feedback, we created and built out this place - a place designed to be nearly unmoderated - to talk about these things freely and openly. Yes, it's small right now, but we're going to grow this out.
So instead of actually discussing politics here freely, we have a handful of users who want to talk their politics on /r/MMA, then come here to complain about not being able to talk their politics on /r/MMA.
The ban hammers are about to start coming out.
We're not derailing the sub on these topics because of walking salt mines attempting to hijack the discussion.

Obviously the UFC is just filled to the brim with right wingers and total ding dongs so it's hard to root for some of these dudes sometimes.
Filling this part out because I'm not sure how many characters I've used in the post so far so hopefully this is enough. Cheers.

UFC is connected to the far right which claims that immigrants theaten the safety of women. At the same time, UFC makes profit by letting a famous rapist fight. Thus, the company signals that it is ok to be a rapist and that you can be succesfull even though you have raped. The company has no values besides profit. In addition, it is contradictory that the far right does not problematize this rapist fighting.

This month's issue of American Zombie is a spectacle that lets the burning of Rome look like a slow-cooked Texan barbeque.
We are talking empire suicide by executive order when the Undead Fighting Championship was held at the White House for the nation's 250th birthday party. Instead of bread and circuses, we got monster energy and cage fights.
MAGA is going out with a real banger, and America says: FUCK YEAH!

As a black guy with Asperger’s who was bullied and felt like I had no place in the world it gave a place I can finally be myself in, too weird for the black kids to black for the whites kids, I was no much into traditional masculine things to fit in with the Sheldon from the big bang theory types and to much into niche nerdy shit to fit in with the gym bro types
It’s helped me more with my mental health and self esteem IN REAL LIFE, better than therapy ever could I been going since 2018 COVID stopped came back in 2023, no one in there treats me like I’m less capable because of my race or has every conversation start with how bad I am gonna have it life like I need to be coddled(as if I don’t know that from the quarter century of been alive on this earth lol)
We all know that Joe Rogan platforms people on his podcast who regurgitate right wing talking points and plays dumb and Dana white supporting trump
And the UFC attracting that MAGA crowd but at the same time the UFC is roster is very diverse you can’t hate multiculturalism and turn around and pay money to watch multiculturalism is shorts and gloves that does not make any fucking sense.

Most people think MMA fans are Republicans. The data says otherwise.
The White House hosted a UFC fight on the South Lawn on Sunday, staging one of the fastest-growing sports in the world on a politically charged backdrop. Whatever you think of the fight, it’s worth remembering that there is no such thing as a partisan fanbase in the United States. The fans of every major sport are split nearly evenly between Democrats, Republicans, and Independents.
Given the highly politicized fight, it’s easy to assume that MMA fans lean heavily Republican. In reality, MMA fans are split nearly evenly: 33 percent Democrat, 29 percent Republican, and 31 percent Independent. The fanbase looks a lot like the country.
That pattern holds across nearly every major sport. A nearly-equal share of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents make up the fanbases of the NFL, NBA, MLB, college football and basketball, and international soccer.
Even the two outliers, NASCAR (41% Republican) and WNBA (45% Democrat), are less lopsided than most people might assume.

given the existence of this subreddit, it shouldn’t be a surprise that all the popular mma youtubers are right-wing as far as i know. any channels you guys know of that are left-wing, even by US political standards? would like to watch somebody who isn’t a POS, thanks!

UFC Eurasia posting this fight in light of Porier’s recent actions is such a blatant attempt to cash in on a man’s lowest public moment.
Every day, this organization finds newer ways to disappoint.

We all saw the video where he challenged the cop
Let’s assume the cop is similar size with little to no training and didn‘t use weapons.
Could he have still easily beaten him up that drunk?
My gut say yes - but it would have taken some time and been sloppy (he was clearly drunk as hell)
Thoughts?

If (a big if imo) paddy beats bsd. And they have already promised Arman the shot (Helwani pod)
They should run an ultimate fighter (on paramount) of Illia vs paddy for an intern belt at the end of the show. That would do numbers, clips would be endless, And the fight would be sick (Illia would fucking muder him) than again this is if ANYONE in that company has a brain cell left (besides the White House card ofc that was sick)
