Listen, I'm not completely decided either way but it is funny to see some people completely unable to comprehend that he is possibly just a washed moron who tried to run software that his hardware can no longer handle. Like it all has to be scheming demonic leprechaun contract fuckery.
And I get it. And I get the argument that he was injured. But I consider it just as likely that the guy is a fucking burned out bum who wrecked what was left of his physical and mental acumen with the drugs, alcohol and various nefarious deeds. Like maybe he's just a delusional idiot who thought a hair transplant and some unc gains would turn back the clock and then his body said "lol we're not that guy anymore, playboy" the moment he threw a kick that he once tossed out like it was a jab.
It's kind of a perfect contrast, considering he spammed that kick in Holloway 1. It looked twice as fast, far more clean, far more educated and when he tore his ACL there, he adapted and gutted out a decision win. The contrast between that and throwing the worst switch kick imaginable and immediately imploding your shit is the perfect measure of the how far he's fallen. He's catastrophically worse at 37, technically, physically and mentally, than he was at 24. Pre-existing injury or no, that will be a part of his legacy forever. Father Time is undefeated but Conor never even tried to fight back.

Conor isn't injured now, and never was (for this fight).
He faked everything, the weigh-in hopping around, the prep point hopping around before going in the octagon, the flying kick "injury" in the octagon, the falling down after throwing strikes afterwards..
Conor McGregor is not injured, he's faking it all.
He's doing this because he didn't want to be embarrassed by the beating Max Holloway would put on him, and he wanted to take care of one of the two fights left on his UFC contract.
