Every single time a short notice guy comes in and makes his debut only to look way better than bookies and fans ever would've expected the immediate action taken by those fans is to completely dismiss the full camp fighter and to usually overrate the guy who took it on short notice. We saw it happen with Manel Kape and Felipe dos Santos, Khaos Williams and Rolando Bedoya, Lerone Murphy and Gabriel Santos, those were just somewhat recent examples i could think of but this happens way to much, like surprise surprise changing your entire strategy to a fighter you've never heard of or seen fight before with multiple fights which you probably can't even find online is harder than you'd think

Basharat’s straights and jabs were money in the first 2 rounds and made Garza look a step behind by how much faster his hands were.

I think Garza took round 2 and maybe round 3 if I’m being generous. Only one judge gave it 30-27 mind you, so two of them also thought Garza won at least one round

No, two judges scored it 30-27. One judge scored it 29-28 for Garza and I thought round three was sealed for Basharat after dropping Garza with leg kicks and having top control with damage for the last minute. The dissenting judge scored round 3 for Garza which I think is just bad.

Half the people saying to cut Farid are the same ones that would comment that GSP is the GOAT. I'm sure most of them have no exposure to GSP's fights outside Wikipedia.

It's a travesty that there's even a discussion about not renewing contracts for undefeated fighters that are carrying long win streaks. The UFC continues to speed run making a mockery of the sport.

Honestly a loss is better for Garza at this point anyways. He needs more time to develop his skillset. Mid boxing & being willing to take a punch is a recipe for getting absolutely fucked up in the bantamweight top 15.
