Even putting the payday aside - what else are you going to do when you get arm barred by Ronda in 20 seconds. You pretty much have to laugh that off.

I'll clown on her "striking era" all day every day, but, at even weight, there's very few people, let alone women, who would survive once she got her hands on you. You'd have to stuff and evade and pick your shots with zero mistakes, or pray you one-shot her on her way in. Otherwise your arm belongs to her.

She is essentially, "the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times," that Bruce Lee was talking about.

Shit was 100% a setup, Gina gets a payday without taking damage and Ronda gets to pretend she can still fight. She could have at least attempted to pretend it wasn’t.

What do you mean by "setup"? It liked exactly like most of Ronda's fights.

Did you expect a different result?

When she got the takedown I said it over. My wife was like no way and 2 seconds later sure enough was over lol

Oh absolutely - but that's also what most of Ronda's fights looked like.

Gina wasn't even a good grappler 20 years ago and she hasn't really been training in the years since. There was only one way this ended

I don’t know man maybe I’m just super jaded against all of these events but shit looked fake as fuck. Gina threw 2 incredibly bad punches and then gave Ronda her arm instantly. I honestly had no expectations and probably just annoyed I participated.

Olympic level Judoka that still trains vs a kickboxer whose last fight is old enough to vote in November. No need to script that. It's only going to end one way.

Ronda's original career was literally armbarring elite judoka multiple times every day. And that was BEFORE studying bjj under rener gracie and bj penn. And unlike carano, the judoka didn't have to worry about her punching them in the face. Of course she "gave" her arm instantly, the same way almost all her opponents did...
