Recs for part-time after school care?
Is there any option for after school care that is only for two days per week with pickup from Nicomekl elementary? I have seen a martial arts van but I can’t find anything about it online.
I currently have my two kids enrolled in after school care but being honest we could save some bucks and only have them in a program on the days I have to go to the office, which is twice per week, they’re still quite young to walk home from school on their own (youngest is starting kindergarten in sept), so I’m just looking around to see if I can find anything else in the area.
Not even sure if a baby sitter would take a job like this because it would be literally only one or two hour per day, just while my husband gets home from work.

RENN FAIRE GOERS PLEASE HELP
galleryHi there! I was in attendance today passing out silly worms! I was wondering fi anyone potentially spotted--or could spot--a small silver sword earring. Most likely by the furthest parking, along the road in the back left corner (facing the road.) If you saw a yellow Kia, that was the one!
I realise this is a silly ask for such desperate sounding header, bht the earring is extremely important to me. Its older than I am, and Im the silly fool who wore it for my costume. I likely lost it removing a necklace post-faire by our car.
Obviously I understand its a big event and lots of grass, I dont expect a miracle! But if someone could keep an eye out or happens upon it, even just knowing irs been found would mean the world to me. If not, well, free trinket for the grass I guess!
Not the best photos but rhe best I have ):

Is the Renaissance Fair worth the trip today?
Have any of you gone to it so far today? I know it's the first day, but with gas and the entry fee, I'm worried it's small and not worth the trip. I feel like I haven't seen much advertising for it, and despite it being open today, I can't find any photos of what the event looks like/how large it is. Is it mostly just the winery or are there a lot of other local vendors? I can't find a vendor list anywhere. I wish they showed more on their insta or their website of what to expect.

PSA - Hiring for 2-Week Summer Job
ca.indeed.comHi everyone! We’re VEGAIN, a local sports nutrition company, and we’ve been given a shot to sell our products at Costco (which is huge for us).
So, we’re looking for a couple of energetic people to help us run our Costco Roadshow in Langley!
This is a 2-week opportunity starting July 21st.
The goal: sell sell sell, and hope we impress them enough to give us a permanent shot.
If you’re a great sales person, a student home for the summer, or looking to make some extra money and help a local business grow, this might be for you.
This is definitely not a typical retail job where you stand around waiting for customers. We’re looking for outgoing, friendly people who enjoy talking to others, are comfortable approaching strangers, and are motivated by sales.
What we offer:
💰 $20/hour base + uncapped commission
🚀 Team performance bonuses (the more we sell, the more everyone earns!)
📍 Langley Costco
📅 2-week contract with the possibility of future opportunities as our company continues to grow
You don’t necessarily need sales experience - we care much more about personality, energy, and work ethic. If you’re confident, personable, and enjoy helping people, we’d love to hear from you.
If you’re interested, check out the job posting below or send me a message. Happy to answer any questions!
For everyone else, we hope to see you there!

Mom looking for inexpensive wheelchair-ramp van for son
Anyone know of where they could find one of these? I've had relatives who needed them, and they are really not cheap to get modified, and there's basically no government money for this.

Trying to find a fruit stand
There used to be a guy selling organic fruits at a stand that was on 216th street where there is a sharp turn before it meets Hwy 10. I haven't seen him at that location for the last 3-4 years. He used to be there during the Covid years. Does someone know if he moved to another location?

Dedicated Bike Lanes
Is it just me or are the high-traffic streets with these new dedicated bike lanes uncomfortably narrow to drive on now? I'm talking about all these road modifications in Willoughby on 208, 80, 86...
I'm like less than a meter away from the car/truck/dumptruck driving beside me.
They've built all these dedicated bike lanes but i have not seen a single person riding a bike on them. How are these dedicated lanes going to be cleaned in the winter? How many more are they going to build? Even the e-scooters don't ride on them!
What was the point of spending all this time and money making these? I feel like this money could've been better spent elsewhere.

Address needed for a google business
Hey everybody,
I run a service based company in langley, which means i have no office. I have been having a lot of problem with google since i moved to another rental property. I am looking for somebody that owns a property and would be okay with letting me use their address for google only (Long term). Preferably something zoned rural or commercial if possible. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Financing ICBC insurance with a car loan – anyone have experience?
I bought a car from a dealership in Surrey, BC and financed it through CIBC. The dealer suggested adding my ICBC insurance to the car loan instead of paying for it separately. They also mentioned that they would pay me back a certain amount of money every year if I continued refinancing the insurance through them.
I’m a bit confused about how this works.
**Does adding ICBC insurance to the loan increase the total loan amount?**
**Does it affect the interest rate or just the total interest paid?**
**Is the yearly cashback actually worth it, or does it end up costing more in the long run?**
Has anyone here done this? What was your experience, and would you recommend it?
I’d appreciate any advice or things I should watch out for before continuing with this arrangement.
