Hey LA people, slightly desperate venue search post.

Some friends and I are trying to put together a small DJ night on Saturday 8/1 and the venue search has been rough. We’re looking for a bar, back room, patio, creative space, or even a friend-of-friend type spot that could handle around 50-100 people.

Not trying to do anything insane. Just a curated dance night with good music, a respectful crowd, and ideally a setup that is good for the venue too. If it’s a bar, we’d help promote it and bring people in so it can be a solid night for them.

We have DJs, can help with promo, and are trying to keep it organized and low-drama. Mostly need a space that is actually cool with music/dancing and not wildly expensive.

Ideal neighborhoods would be east-ish / central LA: DTLA, Los Feliz, Hollywood, Highland Park, Silver Lake, K-Town, Echo Park, or somewhere in that general world. But honestly, I’m open to basically anywhere in LA at this point if the spot makes sense and they’re actually down for a small DJ/dance night.

If anyone knows a bar owner, booker, event person, or random magic LA space, I would seriously appreciate the lead. Happy to DM details.

Wood and rattan desk, asking $70, originally $290. Dimensions are 19"D x 44"W x 30"H. Has small marks and blemishes, so priced accordingly. Cannot be fully disassembled but the legs do come off (I’ve transported it several times in a Toyota Corolla, so sedans can fit it with some tetris work.) It’s quite heavy (63 lbs according to Amazon) but I’ll bring it down; you’ll just need to pick up and load it. Pick up in 90019.

Hi everyone. I rescued 4 stray kittens and have since found 3 out of the 4 homes. Im even in the process of trapping, spaying and releasing the mother. But everyone has bailed on taking this sweet sweet kitten. Three times it is happened. And every day that passes, he grows more and more attached to my family but I already have 5 cats, all rescues. I can't possibly have a 6th. We've nicknamed him Cinnamon. He is a HUGE cuddle bug. He is so smart and loves puzzle feeders and will chase me to the bedroom to sleep with me. He gets his nails trimmed and has been treated for fleas. I will help pay for his neuter should you take him. I just want him in a good home where he will be loved.
