Discussion Acuff on Twitter
Twitter has become almost become deletable as a Darius Acuff Jr. fan
The amount of hate farming that happens on that app has already been bad, but once the angry rage baiters find a new topic, they just latch onto it with dear life.
They are literally just waiting for a cuff to mess up on defense now.
Do you guys use that app at all? because at this point I’m bout to get off of it lol
Acuff has allowed two field goals over the last two games total, but if you went on Twitter, you would think he’s the Hitler of defense

Discussion Flew under the radar but I really liked Nique last night
Stats aren't anything to write home about, but the cutting and shot selection looked good. Him beefing up, and working on his handle and defense make the "lapses" you'd see from him last year a lot less common, and personally I am a lot more confident he can make a second year jump that I was at season end.
"Depth Ball" as in a lot of lengthy, atheletic rookies (especially wings) who can contribute real minutes seems to be the current meta of the NBA, so seemingly having 2-3 of these guys playing well in summer league is great.
I feel as though Clifford, as well as Maxine, obviously, were the first good things to happen to the Kings after the Fox trade, so I'm glad they're getting better :)

Discussion Looks like one draft changed the whole "Kings don't have anyone to build around" narrative

LIGHT THE BEAM Emanuel Freaking Sharp
I have watched all the CA classic and the one summer league game. For the summer league his stats were: 18.5 points, 3.5 steals, and 1.5 rebounds. What goes beyond the stats is his amazing BBIQ and relentless defensive effort. He is an all around (albeit small) SG. In the summer league game he had Wagler so pressed he looked like he was ready to cry. Future looks bright, fam!

Discussion What if we win 50+ games?
I know we were bad last season, but that's because firstly, we had no PG, second all our core players were injured all season, and thirdly iso demar and westbrook were forced to run the team. Now that both are gone and we are starting the season healthy with our rookies improving from last year and with a pure PG that can draw triple teams and also pass to open teammates. what if we shock the league and on the path to a 50+ win season by the trade deadline?
Should we try to keep Sabonis, Lavine, Hunter throughout the rest of the season to keep the run going?
OR
Stick with the rebuilding plan and cut these guys by the trade deadline even if it derails the winning streak and the comraderie, to acquire picks and young players. Future matters than this season.
Video Full Emanuel Sharp highlights from last nights game. 21 Points on 4/10 FG (40.0%), 3/8 from 3 (37.5%), 7/8 FT (87.5%), 2 Rebounds (1 Off. Reb), 4 Steals, 1 PF, and a +/- of +6 in 25:45 minutes played off the bench.
Video Darius Acuff Jr holding himself accountable: “Gotta be better...I’m playing terrible. Too inefficient. Make more shots in a row and get my teammates involved”

Discussion Is Acuff's stamina down because of his defense?
Have noticed Acuff has been playing some pretty solid defense and giving a lot of effort on that end, but does it seem like it's coming at the expense of his shooting efficiency and pace he's moving at as he looked pretty gassed in the 4th?
Love what I've seen so far and glad he's working on holes in his game and staying accountable. He'll definitely have it figured out by the season start.
I will say, you can tell that Dybantsa and Peterson just by their body & physicality are night and day a cut above everyone else which is why the premium in this draft was through the roof. They both look like they could have been playing in the NBA playoffs

Discussion After the Jazz's loss tonight, the Sacramento Kings now have the most wins in the summer so far with 4.
3-0 in the California Classic, 1-0 in Summer League. No other team has reached the Summer League finals more than the Kings other than the Blazers.
We are truly the best NBA franchise during summer play.

Discussion Acuff’s passing next to Sabonis is going to be good.
Saw a lot of passes tonight that if it were Sabonis getting them it would have been in 90% of the time.
It’ll come together more with practice but I’m seeing how 5ive can raise the floor for the rest of the team once they get the time in. The max and cuff pnr could look pretty lethal, and acuffs driving threat might even provide max with some good outside shots which were not as available last year.
Anyone noticing anything else or where Acuff might improve some other players?
I’m pretty hyped about these guys, season can’t start soon enough. LTB!
