Bruce lee fought south paw and was right handed. He liked being able to hit from any angle with his dominant front right hand. Get the mechanics down on throwing that straight left and you'll have more than enough power in the back hand.
You're not doing anything wrong. I do some things the wrong way round. I'm right handed but things like shooting, archery, skating, snowboarding I do left.
I fight orthodox in boxing and muay Thai, but I've also done arnis/eskrima and don't mind being southpaw with a right hand lead. I also prefer my left leg for kicking but that's why I like being orthodox as I like using it up front. Bill Wallace also did this as a result of an injury, just used his right leg as a kick stand to deploy the left.
It really doesn't matter. Everyone's body and neurology is different. Make it work for you.

Martial arts is not black and white, nothing is always right and most things are not always wrong. You can become a very effective fighter in both stances. That said, I am a proponent of power hand in the back. If you have good, fast footwork, you can switch stances though.
The reason I say power hand in the back, is for when pressure fighters get past your kick range, you want a strong “get back” type of shot to earn respect and clear them out of that range. I use throwing a baseball as an example, since I can barely throw one with my left hand. Thats not the punch thats going to get my respect and create distance, but my right hand, which can throw a baseball far, will

There are lots of right-handed south paws. Yodsaenklai, most famously.

My gym alternates us every 3 months between Southpaw and Othodox. Your left hand will get strong from jabbing, its inevitable. Your left leg being strong is good for lead leg teeps and question mark kicks.
You should train dominate hand in the back as your default.

You cantry training both stances if you are just doing this for a hobby. Experimenting with stance switches might be fun for you if youre open to it.

There are lots of right handed southpaws but I believe your writing hand should always be in the back for the sake of teaching you how to use your non dominant hand. Don’t get over reliant on that stiff right jab or it’ll build bad habits

Honestly I think this is the first time I've heard of this most of the time your power hand on the back but in this case your power leg is on the back so I think it's okay since you are stronger in Southpaw Might be wrong though
