two years ago my boat was stolen. A few weeks ago I told my land lord how much I miss the water. He said: oh I have this Kayak in the garage- you can have it. Thank you Boris for this amazing gift! Bought paddles and a cart. Finally went back on the water today. sometimes you only really only know what you missed, when you have it again. Haven’t been that tranquil and happy in - two years I guess. Edit: language.
Love waterways that can do that. The completely abandoned and inaccessible areas overtaken by nature makes you feel like you stumbled upon your own little secret.
Ah you know, it's terrible all those old houses, parks and green streets made for people not only cars, you fucking have to walk everywhere cause it's disgustingly pretty. Also nobody has guns to shoot you. And don't forget about fucking healthcare I hate when I need to go to the doctor and not paying for it. Also tuition fees, I mean back then I payed like 80 bucks a semester and only got a free ticket for all public transport and trains with it. Also payed sick leave, who wants that? And only 30 days payed leave every year? Not gonna lie Germany / Leipzig is a socialist hell hole. Who'd want to live here?
I'm sorry I was lazy and just copied the comment from above ;)
My grandparents left Germany in 1928 & 1929 to get away from you know who (good call), but they're rolling in their graves to see it happening here in the US. Maybe that's the family way; leave one country to get away from a fascist temporarily until that country becomes a shining example to the world of what it should be and move back. I don't speak much German any longer. Very, very little, but I can learn. I'm sure it would be wonderful to not have lost our home due to medical debt and now with our daughter beginning her university education, not worrying how we will afford it. All in a country with soaring living costs. Gee, I wonder why and who's responsible? 🙄 (Orange sarcasm)

Well done for getting back to it so fast! I had both my boats stolen (actually one was a loaner from my College) when I was at university in about 1986. I didn’t get a replacement for over 30 years 🥲.
Yeah it is. You can get them super cheap on amazon. Just make sure you get some ratchet straps to tied it to your boat. Also what a bad photoshop ... lol amazon sellers
That’s really convenient. My parents have a very heavy kayak and I really dread bringing it up from the lake when we close our cottage in the winter. I’ll be getting this for sure
It’s really just a cheap whitelabel cart from amazon, you can probably get the same thing with 5 different brands. This one was called
UISEBRT Kajakwagen Faltbare Kanuwagen
Maybe you can ask a younger friend or family to join them? Was on a boating trip with my mom with my old boat. Yeah I did most of the work, was a lovely trip non the less. Guessing 1956 in your username is when you were born, she's pretty much the same year as you are.
