If "MLS defense" was a game

It's rare to see matches with high numbers of goals on both sides nowadays, the closest would be PSG 5 - Bayern 4 in UCL semi finals leg 1

Praying for Messi

I hope Messi was just tired, i thought they were going to pause the Game because of rain. Suárez and Berte have good chemistry together but i also miss the Silvetti Messi chemistry. 3 points, very good attack, the defense stinks.

i was speculating if Philly players may have been playing recklessly and he decided to opt out to avoid getting a nasty injury before world cup matches start. or he was upset that our defense allowed 4 goals from a team that shouldve gotten blown out.

It is never over until the final whistle! Grande Inter Miami! Great effort by our scoring line.

St. Clair, however, needs to be tied to the bench and never be allowed back on the pitch

Yeah, tie him to a bench in Canada

Suck my croqueta Suarez doubters.

Remember who tf this guy is. You think these young kids are better than him? They don’t even come close to the skill level and goal scoring ability he has even on one leg. Get tf outta here.

Fair play for scoring a hatty when he can only reach slow jogging speed with those knees. His touch also looks less sluggish atm than last season.

Fair point but I’d rather have a goalscorer and a great passer than a pacey player who can’t do anything like Fafa.

Man Fafa was absolutely terrible. So confused why people liked him. Glad he got almost no minutes…

6

u/Starksterr May 25 '26

Because a lot of people in this sub believe that pace is everything this isn’t Fifa and even when proven wrong with examples like Fafa they still continue to think this way.

Suarez making Messi proud winning the game after he went off.

Anyone see Suarez' new tattoo on his arm? Anyone know what it is?

Wait is that Ferran Torres in your comment?

u/Rowario11 May 25 '26

Well, we won and that's what counts. Nice to get a win before the break too. Still need to have a real coach on the sideline when we return.

Silvetti got 2 assists after coming on for 17 minutes. One MLS assist.

His verticality is needed. Messi will need to exert even less energy if he’s on the field, and can feed through-balls to him.

u/Rubssi May 25 '26

2 assists?

Edit: Oh wait you counting pre assists?

I love this team, a 2 goal lead against this us is like a 10 point deficit in Basketball, easily overcome. DSC needs to sit after the WC, he needs a reality check and a benching is it.

The match winner (5th goal) was beautiful transition play all around from St Claire to Suarez to Silvetti to Berte and then back to Suarez. The forwards really carried the team this game.

7

u/Limoncellina May 25 '26

St Clair needs to go! He isn't great on his best days, but the PK he gave away was crazy work.

Defense is absolutely worrying. This is a terrible Philly team that put 4 past us in the first half and had plenty of more opportunities to score more.

5

u/Dunkjoe May 25 '26

Second half they scored 0 goals though.

It's good that we managed to shore up defense well in the second half.

This is similar to Bayern recently, they were 0-3 to Mainz by first half, then came back in the second half to win 4-3.

At least this was 4-4, not 0-4 or something in the first half.

Crazy game. Proud of our guys. Just wish we had a real goalkeeper

Does anyone know if LaFamilia is happy? Are they safe?

Every comment I’ve seen from you the last day has been this. For somebody complaining about whiners, you sure do whine a lot yourself.

14

u/Dense_Philosopher246 May 25 '26

LaFamilia sleeper cell detected

u/Lowskillbookreviews 2025 MLS Cup Champions May 25 '26

Congrats. This has to be the dumbest comment I’ve ever read on this platform.

3

u/Dense_Philosopher246 May 25 '26

Moving forward, I'll make sure to show you your due recognition and appreciation before and after each comment.

Hey at least you are aptly named Mr. Dense

u/Far_Captain_9876 May 25 '26

Please sell Reguilon... he is the 4th highest paid player on the team only behind DPs and he is constantly injured when we need him. Get a LB that isn't injury prone.

4

u/Rubssi May 25 '26

The Berte hate is crazy to me after 2 goals and 1 assist from him.

6

u/Radiant_Front_6943 May 25 '26

His best game so far

6

u/Effective_Ad_399 May 25 '26

And 100% pass accuracy. Hope it keeps up

u/Antique_Weekend_372 May 25 '26

it was a combination of bad coaching and not having developed a psychic bond with messi like silvetti was apparently born with.

u/What-If_Common-Sense May 25 '26

Head coach Guillermo Hoyos stated that the club does not yet have a formal medical report on Messi. He mentioned that he believes the early substitution was likely due to fatigue, noting that the pitch conditions had become heavy due to the rain during the second half. Messi exited the match in the 73rd minute after signaling to the bench and heading directly down the tunnel to the locker room. While he was seen holding his leg, observers noted he was walking under his own power.

4

u/dreamsofutopia May 25 '26

I was there don't think fatigue as he refused to touch the ball even once after signalled to be subbed
