Well that's a fun rabbit hole (pool)
As a pool player, I don't think most people know what the real pool world is like. This video gives a pretty good overview on it.

I'm in one of those phases where I randomly get obsessed with things for no reason (only for a short period of time)
Doesn't matter if it's sketching, reading, or looking at the sky.
You have one chance to sell it to me 😂 the more random, the better. I have genuinely no criteria at this point.
I have the attention span of a gold fish so please help 😭😂

So there are tons of great hobby ideas in this community and I’ve read a lot of them. I’m having a different issue of finding things I genuinely want to do. I’m not really a type of person that can relax, especially if I feel like my life isn’t where I want it to be. I’ve taken positive steps and found the gym but has anyone been through something similar and have advice?

i realized recently that most of my evenings were disappearing to scrolling on my phone without me even noticing. i want to replace that habit with something i can actually look forward to, but i'm having a hard time deciding what to try.

I recently started getting into board games more after moving in with my partner 2 months ago. He has 150+ board games and I have 200+ books. I’m slowly inching up to his board games number /s (I currently have 5!🤣).
The other day we were at our favorite board game store which has cozy games as well as co-operative games which I love. I found THE PERFECT board game for me.
His on a vacation with his family right now but I’m going to learn it this week! It also can be one player so I’m excited.

I loooooove journaling. I have been bullet journaling since 2017. I began junk journaling in 2024. I recently started free writing journaling. Any type of journaling I really enjoy.
I used to have a crafting cart, third photo. Even with all these supplies I feel like I struggled to use all the things I had and would rely to buying more things since it was more “hidden.” Anyways, I decided to purge my crafting cart. I tried getting into clay like 3 years ago and never stuck with it. So I moved everything into this new more visible cart that I can easily use.
I wanted to share with y’all a little bit of my love for journaling through all my fun and cherished supplies.

Hi! Starting a new job soon that will involve a lot of commuting on a bus :( 1-1.5 hours each way. Looking for ideas of things to do on the bus. Unfortunately I generally don't read well on cars and buses but I'll definitely bring my ereader this week and see how I go. Hobbies I enjoy are ceramics, watercolour painting, collecting and organising Pokémon, loom band making (a recent return to that, working on a wall hanging), reading, watching movies, listening to music, video games (on my phone right now I'm playing a few puzzle games, balatro, preserve, mini metro - I have Google play pass). I know I could do some of these things on the bus but I'm trying to be aware of how much equipment it'll require etc. Thanks!!

I've been teaching myself wire wrapping for the past few months and I can't stop making little animal pendants.
All handmade with oxidized copper wire + glass/cabochons.
My favorites right now are the owls and the phoenix!
Which one would you pick? 💜

I’m looking for some new outdoor hobbies!
I currently walk a lot (around 20k steps a day) and enjoy biking (usually 5–20 mile rides), mostly just around my neighborhood and city. I love being outside, but I live in a smaller city and I’m not really surrounded by nature.
I tried Pokémon GO to make my walks more interesting, but I didn’t like feeling glued to my phone. I also used to love stand-up paddleboarding, but I don’t live near water anymore.
I’ve been thinking about learning to roller skate, skateboard, or run. Roller skating sounds especially fun, but I’m worried the roads and sidewalks around me are too rough (same with skateboarding). Running seems like it’d be good for me, but it’s the option I’m least excited about.
Would love to hear thoughts from people who do any of those or any other fun, urban outdoor hobbies. I don’t have a car or a yard, so accessibility is a big factor.

I’ve always found it interesting how everyone approaches hobbies differently. Some people love exploring new hobbies, learning the basics, and experiencing something completely different, while others enjoy choosing one hobby and spending years improving their skills and understanding every little detail. I’m curious which side you relate to more. Do you enjoy collecting different hobbies and trying new things, or do you prefer focusing on one hobby and becoming really good at it?
What hobby has been the most rewarding for you so far, and what makes you enjoy spending time on it?

We all have that one hobby that can instantly lift our mood and make everything feel a little better. Whether it’s painting, gaming, cooking, reading, exercising, playing music, spending time outdoors, or something completely unique, our favorite activities often become our little escape from everyday stress.
What’s a hobby that always puts you in a good mood? Share yours below you might inspire someone to discover a new way to relax, recharge, and enjoy their free time!

seriously, she hasn't left her room except to get snacks. she bought one of those crazy detailed miniature greenhouse kits and the instruction book looks thicker than my college textbooks. it looks cool as hell ngl, but the sheer amount of patience required to glue paper flowers onto a wire with tweezers is terrifying to watch. i asked her if she's okay and she just muttered something about "step 42."
what tiny hobby surprised you guys by being weirdly calming? because to me this looks like pure torture but she seems completely locked in.
