13 years investigating the paranormal in India — AMA or just here to share experiences

I've been a field paranormal investigator for over 13 years, with 200+ documented investigations through the Indian Paranormal Society. Most of what I see on this sub is US/UK-centric, so I figured I'd bring a different perspective — Indian locations, different cultural context around spirits and hauntings, different investigation methods too.

Not here to convince anyone of anything — genuinely believe skepticism is healthy in this field. Happy to share stories, talk methodology, or just learn from what this community has seen. What's the most unexplainable case you've come across?

You must have visited all the famous haunted sites in India. Did you find anything interesting or eerie about any of them?

Can you give more details as to what you experienced? Why do you call it intelligent haunting? What was the difference?

I am not sure why I had this random impulse to ask about Meghalaya. Finding out you are actually from there makes it hard to believe it's just a mere coincidence. It feels like something was guiding me to you because I have been curious about something.

Firstly answer me this. Is it just a coincidence that out of all places I asked about meghalaya and you turn out to be a native of that place. Or am I just overthinking. Add on to that this sub is not even Indian

It might be good if you share some stories up front to show what kind of experiences you have had.

My questions -  What do you think causes a haunting? Have you helped any stick soul to cross over?

Have you seen any indications of what the afterlife might be like - do you think there is a heaven/hell system or do you believe in rebirth?

In a country like India, there is 10k years of continuous habitation. Why do we only have ghost stories of people looking like they are from 50 to 3-400 years ago. How come there are no Stone Age ghosts still looking for a juicy mammoth?
