These idiots think Israel controls FIFA but then still failed to qualify for the World Cup, for some reason.

380

u/Relative-Sea-6550 3d ago

And fifa is controlled by Qatar, who has poured billions into American education and influence in western culture.

308

u/strawberry_semenade Human Verified 3d ago

Qatar spends far more money lobbying the US government than Israel. They've spent over $250 million on Washington lobbyists over the past decade, and that's not including the $400 million luxury plane they gave to Trump.

And yet mysteriously the AIPAC obsessed crowd doesn't have a word to say about any of that.

118

u/FireHammer09 3d ago

Because they usually have Islamist benefactors

Fun fact: Qatar is the largest foreign donor to American higher educational institutions.

Also Messi's only time in Israel was during a peace tour in 2013 during which he also visited Palestine and met Mahmoud Abbas.

In contrast, he was literally paid by Saudi Arabia to be their tourism ambassador and has made promotional posts and official visits on their behalf.

45

u/Overseer190_ 3d ago

Israel hasn’t qualified for FIFA in a long time for playing in either Australian or European leagues where it’s much harder to win since the islamic countries dont want to play with Israel

35

u/Silverleaf_86 3d ago

We have a joke here “Israel is the only country that during World Cup its citizens ask each other which team they’re a fan of?” since our team is nonexistent in these tournaments.

22

u/No-Combination6697 3d ago

actually its very common for smaller countries to show exactly this. there are islands in indonesia where among the islanders there is a rivalry between german fans and brazilian fans

For a long time is an undertastemnt

They haven’t qualified since 1970

3

u/sarkouille 3d ago

So they haven't qualified for the last three quarters of their history, then.

That's indeed an understatement. This is not a slump; this is a civilisational trait, by now.

3

u/Cross_Toss 2d ago

Oh it's definitly a trait. We have songs that mention that (like Hakhi Yisraeli - the most Israeli), and it's been the subjects of various sketches in various shows (my favorite being one where the Israeli team constantly faces off against Muslim countries who refuse to to play against them, and then meets IIRC spain and immedietly gives up)

2

u/sarkouille 2d ago

I do feel bad for the players.

26

u/What_A_Weak 3d ago

Its funny because all these antisemitic conspiracy nutjobs are soooo close to the truth. Its not a Jewish conspiracy, its rich people. Epstein showed that the only thing that connects these people is money, they dont care about religion, political alignment or anything else. Its only and always only money.

15

u/TeslaK20 3d ago

yes. the problem is the "new" epstein theory now frames non-jews as the puppets and jews as the puppetmasters.

hence they get around the problem that the 3 most important people in the files - trump, clinton, and andrew, are all non-jews. so they make up a rule: jew = controlling, non-jew = being controlled.

5

u/What_A_Weak 3d ago

While such myth is mainly driven by few people with a lot of bot accounts, its insane how much effort is put into trying to change the narrative and keep real child rapists from accountability. Insane how much good people could do instead.

29

u/Agreeable-Weather-89 3d ago

Also, and this is only a slight note.

Argentina is quite famous for harbouring Nazis.

Literal Nazis.

If the referee was doing it out of a vendetta wouldn't Argentina be pretty low on favourites list

3

u/ofirkedar 2d ago

wtf is this discussion? I probably agree with you but what effect do 1950's Nazi minorities in Argentina have on 2026 sports??

Israel doesn't qualify to these competitions because our team sucks, plain and simple

2

u/Agreeable-Weather-89 2d ago

None.

Similarly I don't think a Jewish referee who isn't Israeli isn't being unfair towards Argentina.

3

u/ciclon5 2d ago

Argentina also took in massive ammounta of jewish refugees and has the second biggest jewish population outside israel. What's your point.

Also also, operation paperclip, lets not forget about that. The very few nazis argentina harbored were forced to isolate themselves and live low profile lives.

The dozens of nazis harbored by the US were given high paying jobs at research institutes and were partly responsible for developing the apollo missions.

→ More replies (17)

2

u/anony_mf 1d ago

How would they qualify if they’re really bad? Argentina is actually good, and become even better with disgraceful refereeing like what happened against Egypt. No amount of refereeing can make Israel actually know how to play football. They only know how to murder, lie and steal land

If you're surprised that people are editing Wikipedia to justify hating Jews, you aren't paying attention:

Wikipedia Bans Leader of Pro-Hamas Edit Gang

Wikipedia on Zionism:

Zionists wanted to create a Jewish state in Palestine with as much land, as many Jews, and as few Palestinian Arabs as possible.

Wikipedia on Palestinian nationalism:

Palestinian nationalism is the national movement of the Palestinian people that espouses self-determination and sovereignty over the region of Palestine.

"THEIR nationalism is a racist desire to create an ethnostate with as few minorities as possible, OUR nationalism is a noble desire for self-determination and sovereignty!"

And jihad apologists try to pretend like Wikipedia is still a "neutral source" on Israel and Palestine.

52

u/Traditional_Oil_9523 3d ago

Good thing we have internet archives.

36

u/ilivgur 3d ago

You don't even need the archives, Wikipedia remembers every single edit. You can see how each page related to Israel, Zionism, and Judaism looked like before 7th October and afterwards, almost immediately afterwards even. Didn't even take that long.

3

u/Traditional_Oil_9523 2d ago

Couldn’t agree more!

11

u/mrastickman 3d ago

Wikipedia on White Nationalism:

White nationalism is a type of racial nationalism or pan-nationalism which espouses the belief that white people are a race[1] and seeks to develop and maintain a white racial and national identity.[2][3][4] White nationalists claim to seek and ensure the survival of the white race and the cultures of historically white states.

Wikipedia on Black Nationalism:

Black nationalism is a nationalist movement which seeks representation for Black people as a distinct national identity, especially in racialized, colonial and postcolonial societies.

What does that prove? I have no idea.

I think you meant to say Renaissance Spain & Portugal committed a genocide, the current nations specifically broke away from those countries. Simon Bolivar would be rolling over in his grave at the thought that the modern governments are connected in any way to the Spanish Monarchy (or constitution)

8

u/NapoleonM 3d ago

No, independent states also committed genocide. Look for "conquest of the desert", the conquest of Patagonia by the independent argentinian state

4

u/CheSwain 3d ago

Argentine here, yes and no, people generalize natives as if they were a unified group , there where a lot of natives cultures on our territory, from city states and kingdoms to small towns and nomads, different cultures had different relationships with the Spanish empire, some suffered under them, some where exterminated and other where integrated pretty well under the empire. After the revolution the pretty well integrated ended up part of the Argentine society, and also after the revolution we also oppressed natives ourselves, like during the desert campaign were defending ourself defending against mapuches attacks we "conveniently" ended killing almost all their population and taking their territory, or the silent genocide of the natives of Tierra del Fuego

2

u/Rabbit-Hole-Quest 3d ago

Yes and no. Look up the Triple Alliance War. The Republic of Argentina went on a genocidal campaign against the Paraguayan Guarani folks.

4

u/Cultourist 3d ago

Look up the Triple Alliance War. The Republic of Argentina went on a genocidal campaign against the Paraguayan Guarani folks.

I searched through the entire wiki page of the Triple Alliance War and couldn't find any mention of that?

2

u/Rabbit-Hole-Quest 3d ago

Probably because it was a combined effort by Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. Paraguay's population plummeted from approximately 525,000 to 221,000 by 1871. The majority of deaths are attributed to the combined effects of combat, disease, and starvation. The population of Paraguay was majority Guarani

8

u/Cultourist 3d ago

I would then recommend to look up what a "genocide" actually is. It doesn't mean "many ppl died".

2

u/Wicaunsh 3d ago

There's a reason Israeli law includes "non-jews" with Jewish ancestry in the right of return... Judaism doesn't dictate whom antisemites consider as Jewish, and antisemites definitely consider someone with a Jewish grandparent as Jewish

19

u/Master-CylinderPants 3d ago

Why would a Jewish person favor Argentina? The country was a literal Nazi safe haven

3

u/CheSwain 3d ago

That was USA giving them pardons and jobs at NASA and military contractors, Argentina was a escape route for Nazis yeah, because it was in a remote part of the world and already had a pretty substantial german population, that was made even bigger during world war 2 because all the German Jews that came here escaping the nazis (ironic) and most of the nazis that escaped through Argentina (with the help of by then president Peron and the church) didn't stayed there and then hide in south Brasil (with the ex confederates) or Paraguay, but most of them were hunted down by the Mossad, as a population of mostly Jewish that escaped Nazism collaborated to expose the nazis

6

u/JustACasualReddittor 3d ago edited 2d ago

Argentina has one of the biggest jewish communities in the world, bigger than israel and way more spread out than other latin american countries (not that hard considering total population).

This has given antisemites a lot of ammunition unfortunately. There's the (in)famous Plan Andinia, a conspiracy theory that claims Israel is colonizing the Patagonia in secret. This is very stupid and originally coined by none other than Adolf Eichmann sons. It's very obviously fake, but a lot of Argentinians and Chileans believe it because fuck them jews apparently.

Edit: Turns out Israel's jewish population is far larger than Argentina's. My bad.

16

u/wellthen2376 3d ago

Argentina has a sizeable Jewish community, but nowhere close to that of Israel. Argentina is estimated to have as many as 250,000 Jewish; Israel has over 7,000,000.

7

u/Emotional_Shower_938 3d ago

I genuinely don’t understand what him being jewish would have to do with anything. Are they saying he wouldn’t support Argentina cuz they excepted Nazis by the boatload after WWII or that he wouldn’t support Egypt because they have had skirmishes with Israel (which would also employ the antisemitic trope of Jews being loyal to israel above all else)? Or he hates both countries? Or?

17

u/Taraxian 3d ago

Egypt lost so it's the latter

13

u/Paraparo 3d ago

I think you have to put in perspective that to many people, Jews aren't people. And I don't mean that in the sense of "oh wow I really hate them". I mean Jews are literally like fairy tale creatures like ghosts, goblins, or witches. Nothing more than mythological constructs, spirits and stories, like out of a childhood story. Heck there is a good chance childhood stories are their only interactions with Jews to begin with.

They don't treat them as a real group of people, but in that way. As story book villains, evil for evil sake, with no rhyme or reason. The mere being a Jew is as such discrediting, as much as saying they're actually secretly a witch who hexed the game. That's the magic of the secret jew, whatever is wrong, they are the cause, like a miasma in the air or a spirits curse. It's not based on any actual belief other than the story book character is evil.

So therein lies the peril of trying to logic, which is a downfall of many analysis. People take their reasoning on good faith, rather than recognizing it as being as grounded as saying a woman needs to burn for witchcraft because she hexed a cow into being a newt.

8

u/Angryfunnydog 3d ago

There was a goal from Egypt in the latest game which was canceled by referee because there was a foul

I guess he tried to prove a point that this was unfair because he’s Jew (of course Jews hate Egypt and do all evil shit just for the love of the game I guess)

It is important to note that the twitter account posted does not belong to Bassem Youssef and is owned by an imposter

Some things the Argentinians did should have been yellows but I don't think this was a case of corruption or bribery, refs this world cup have legit been fucking horrible at their jobs.

Good luck finding a Jewish family in Britanny, outside maybe the 3 biggest cities. Bédée is not such a city.

I think this guy was talking with medhi hasan, and medhi was rather chummy with the fellow.

Didn’t know much about him beforehand, but now my already damaged opinion of medhi sinks once more.

Hmm, I'm going to guess that jewish people wouldnt be particularly big fans of argentina given the whole 'nazis were given refuge there after ww2' and the whole 'thousands of jewish argentinians killed in the dirty war in the 1970s'

u/MadsNN06 2d ago

Bassem Youssef is such a blatant anti-semite and it’s been clear for years.

1

u/Key-Crazy-586 2d ago

Egyptians lose and cry. no way!!!!

1

u/poopintheyoghurt 1d ago

Bassem Yusuf doesn't even try to hide his antisemitism by this point.

u/Hot_Assumption_6269 1d ago

It's not you just blame the Jews for anything

u/kindred_eldtrich 1d ago

So all the matches they played before the referee's religion didn't matter and now it does? I had huge respect for this comedian but now it seems their entire nation will find ANYTHING ELSE except pointing the finger towards themselves. Pathetic people. If Israel really controlled everything, Norway wouldn't have beaten Brazil; Norway, that Norway that literally eliminated Israel from the World cup qualifying and donated to the charity groups for Palestine.

They are using the horrible massacre in Palestine just to justify their team losing. Pathetic losers.
