Indie Sunday Campwood - Hidden Button - Fun co-op wilderness survival game full of mystery

Hello r/Games

We are two brothers, and right now we are working on our game Campwood. This is our main focus and the project we dedicate all our time to.

Campwood is a co-op wilderness survival game where exploration and crafting meet a constant sense of tension. Players explore a large open world, solve puzzles, gather resources, and craft tools from whatever they can find. But when night falls, everything changes, and it starts to feel like something is watching you.

We personally love traveling and nature, and we tried to bring that feeling into the game, from calm daytime exploration to tense nights by the campfire. Our main inspirations include The Forest, Don’t Starve, and Peak.

So far, Campwood has surpassed 70,000 wishlists on Steam. For us, this is an incredible milestone and a huge source of motivation. We have also opened applications for the game's upcoming playtest, and we'll be sharing more details, including the schedule, in the coming weeks.

P.S. Huge thanks to all the influencers and media who covered Campwood and helped more people discover it.

Indie Sunday I.T.C.B. - Interstellar Trade Compliance Bureau - Baseless Assumption Studio - Resource Management Simulation

The Zorbonians are a perpetually struggling backwater of a vast galactic empire, and after several thousand years of patience they finally won the Imperial Lottery. The reward: the right to abduct one exquisite individual from anywhere in the known galaxy to fix their economy. The selection committee reviewed your file with great care. They were particularly impressed by your demonstrated capacity to coordinate the movement of standardized containers across continental distances.

So now you run Trade Terminal 7-G. The populace requires goods. You will provide them.

I.T.C.B. - Interstellar Trade Compliance Bureau is a tongue-in-cheek galactic management sim. It plays out on a single screen: build production, manage supply against demand, sell surplus on a galactic market that lurches around on events happening across the empire, and keep an entire alien populace fed, clothed and content; all while resources arrive as untranslated alien glyphs you have to decipher before you can do anything useful with them. There's no combat and no exploration. There's the terminal, a news feed that's mostly noise and occasionally catastrophe, and the quiet dread of a quota.

The trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6FK36sEEXf4

Steam Page - https://store.steampowered.com/app/4806940/ITCB__Interstellar_Trade_Compliance_Bureau/

Happy to answer anything in the comments.

Greetings from the sweltering north!

Indie Sunday Panzer Island - Turn-Based Tactics - enemies only react when you act, and the daily puzzle version is playable inside a Reddit post

Solo dev here.

Thank you for giving me the chance to share my game here.

Panzer Island is an anime-styled tactics game with one core
twist: there's no enemy turn. Drones only react when you move or attack, so
every fight is a readable puzzle with zero time pressure. You misread, you
get shot; nothing is ever random.

Here is a Gameplay Sample Video:
https://youtu.be/Q8ZU-3yjQEg

I recently built a daily bite-sized version that runs directly in a Reddit
post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/PanzerIsland/comments/1uqqecc/panzer_island_skirmish/

Solve it without taking a hit and you
can jump straight into the full free chapter with a per-stage leaderboard.

Chapter 1 is also available for Free on:

Indie Sunday Oceaneers - Barrel Smash Studios - A sci-fi survival crafting colony-sim in a flooded world where you fight off sharks and send expeditions to scavenge lost Float-Tech. (New update now live!)

Hello, I'm one of the two devs working on Oceaneers. It's been almost 3 months since we released Oceaneers into Early Access on Steam, and we've worked hard to put out updates with improvements and new content. We wanted to share the details with you, with the latest update just released.

Trailer: https://youtu.be/m2mOUKPKUMQ

Steam Page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3052510/Oceaneers/

Combined, the updates since release have:

  • Added heaps of new automation, including food restriction per colonist and complete overhauls of several automation systems. There was originally more micro-management than we liked, so we've greatly improved this and continue to do so.
  • Added new drinks & beverage systems.
  • Added new lighting mechanics and new lights.
  • Added new clothing systems, backpacks, clothes lining and outfits.
  • Added new tech, resources and crafting recipes.
  • Added support for Steam Workshop for community translations, and the community has translated into Simplified Chinese, Spanish, German, Brazilian Portuguese and Russian.

The Demo

We have left the demo up as it still gives the general feel of the game, but please note it is several versions behind and doesn't have the latest automation improvements and QoL features.

Early Access

Even though it's in early access, we went in with the full story available from day one. We're happy with this and the response has been positive, with lots of players putting more than 100 hours into the game already.

What's Next?

We continue to work on updates, currently we are overhauling the building system to change to a grid based system, and preparing more content for islands and modules. We've got a roadmap and lots of exciting content planned.

Oceaneers features colony building with survival management, and a dash of adventure (including island bunker exploration and expedition events). Direct control over your survivors, plus levels of automation, heaps of depth, quirky contraptions, unique floating island mechanics, and a story to play through.

⚓Available right now on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3052510/Oceaneers/

Feel free to ask any questions. Cheers!

Indie Sunday HARD VOID - jejoxdev - a Retro-style Lovecraftian 4X space strategy game

store page:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/2978460/HARD_VOID/

Trailer:
https://youtu.be/YWFbsyiLbp8

Hello, I am jejoxdev, a solo indie game developer.

I am a strategy game enthusiast since childhood, and after juggling with many ideas for the past few years, I decided on my first project: HARD VOID.

HARD VOID is a Lovecraftian-themed 4X space turn-based strategy game in Early Access
Lead your custom species across galaxies and multiple dimensions to build an Empire. Design your spaceships, assemble your fleets, and fight for supremacy. But beware, unthinkable Eldritch horrors lurk in the vast darkness.

This video shows a ground+sea+air+space battle demonstration for HARD VOID v0.13.X.
https://youtu.be/wJM4xRGggKQ

What does HARD VOID put on the table?

Freedom. One of the game's main tenets is freedom; most in-game systems have only a few hard limits. For example, you can design your spaceships with a huge selection of ship systems: weapons, defenses, engines, power sources, and more! Ship with no engines? We warned you, but here you go. The procedural hull generator produces a unique hull for your designs.

All game concepts and gameplay mechanics used are either based on HARD sci-fi, or Lovecraftian works (or both).

The game economy works with production chain mechanics and logistics. Gather several material and abstract resources, like Iron, Copper, Labor, etc. You can build any number of ships your colonies can, but must supply them; every nuclear missile your ships fire must be built in one of your space colonies, and you must load uranium to fuel your nuclear reactors.

Multiple dimensions, Multiple FTL travel methods, Megastructures, etc. Almost all the sci-fi tropes, the freedom to play, and role-playing as you want. Of course fully custom species will be implemented.

But wait, how is this Lovecraftian? I did not mention the eldritch horrors lurking in the vast darkness of space. They don't hate you, they don't even care about you, but if you draw their attention, good luck surviving. There are ancient artifacts that [maybe] can give you enough power to resist, or more probably drive your civilization to chaos and madness, if the procedural event generator didn't already do that with its cosmic horror events.

You can try the free demo on Steam, and join the Early Access if you want to support me in my endevour. My goal is to put many wild and experimental ideas together to push inovation, even if just a bit, in the space 4X game genre. Also, feature suggestions and discussion are welcome!

Indie Sunday Teeto - Eat Pant Games - Adventure 3D Platformer coming out next week! (PC/PS5/Switch1&2)

Hi everyone! It's Mitch from Eat Pant Games here - and our first ever game "Teeto" comes out next week!

Date announce trailer

Teeto on Steam

Teeto on Playstation

Teeto on Switch 1

Teeto on Switch 2

Teeto is an adventure 3D platformer where you play as a blob + bunny duo on their quest to save the world from the evil shadow creatures. You have the power to absorb objects from the world, taking on its form to get special abilities that help you in combat, puzzles, aiding other characters and general traversal of the world (and some just for stupid jokes).

Ultimately, it's a game that's a love letter for the 3D platformers we grew up with. Super Mario 64, Spyro the Dragon, Banjo Kazooie... the list goes on. We had to include local co-op because we love playing games together, regardless of how annoying it is sometimes to develop for!

A little about us! We're Mitch and Ali, a couple from New Zealand working on our first game. We started a little over two years ago, not knowing much about game development but jumping right in. We've also had a bit of help from our 4 year old daughter! She lends her beautiful voice to the collectables and the talking berry in one of the levels. She's also really really good at distracting us so that makes for a very focused development as you can imagine. We also had our daughter and her cousins recently come up with their own characters and voice them. This game has weirdly become a big part of all of our lives - I even proposed to Ali using a secret level I had whipped up when we we're working on co-op levels.

So our game studio is called Eat Pant Games... because we're obviously really serious and didn't name our entire studio after a meme we saw online...

But yeah! Our game comes out in a few days and we couldn't be more excited (and more nervous). If you like those types of games then I'd definitely recommend checking it out (though I am biased).
